About this deal

I am not very knowledgeable in this area but overpumping seems to be a factor when using separate 007's. All masks an issue that could be rotting out your rads and sludging up your system which mounts up to a protencially bigger bill. If there are exiting vent ports here is useful tool extracts broken air valves, re-taps radiator, re-threads 1/8" NPT: https://www.

If air is trapped within the boiler this may cause pump cavitation or boiling and overheating within the heat exchanger. The HV30C self-bleeding radiator valves save energy, keep radiators hot-to-top, reduce corrosion and system noise and dispense with the use of radiator keys. I understand these minute leaks can be hard to find as air can get pulled in by the pump through gaps where water can't escape. If your system is unvented, and you have a constant problem with "air" in a rad, then i would assume that it is drawn in from the negative side of the pump. By fitting these valves, you can rest assured that your radiators will stay free from trapped air, allowing your heating system to run much more efficiently.Update after nearly 3 years, even though these have a 5 year warranty it says on the packaging , mine stopped working now just under 3 years from new. Micro Model which is suitable for 1/8 Inch and 1/4 Inch radiator threads How do you fit the Automatic Radiator Bleeding Valve? The only practical way to vent and confirm lack air of is opening each high point until only water comes out.

Construction is of the usual cast brass housing for plumbing parts, with a threaded connection to the pipework at the base. Once the air is removed, you can leave the radiator bleeding valve to do their job, never having to manually bleed your radiators again. Manual radiator bleed valves require the use of a radiator bleeding key, and you will need to go around each radiator individually and bleed them wherever it’s needed. I currently have the system drained for a bathroom renovation and I'd like to take the opportunity to replace the key-operated manual valves with automatic valves. Within a day all noises eliminated, all rads hot, hours spent bleeding rads a thing of the past, best few quid i ever spent, great product.

Turning knob to vent on Watts FV-4 auto vents is easy RV-4 is also an anti suction device so when system water is drained for service it lets air in. The appropriate cure here though is the use of a chemical inhibitor, rather than continual bleeding. Since air bubbles move away from the boiler and float up in the system, that way you will be more effective in getting rid of water than working from the top down. If you’ve ever noticed that there are cool spots at the top of your radiators while your heating is on or they make clunking or groaning sounds as they heat up, it might be time to bleed them. The innovative Hygroseal™ technology (patent pending) utilises a ‘dual-seal positive valve closure’ which provides an extended, leak-free life.
