There’s really no other way to describe how this looks other than to say it’s a visual feast for the eyes. The image, albeit up-scaled to 4K, is absolutely stunning, in every regard, the Dolby Atmos surround track is absolutely stunning, in every regard, the extras package has everything you could want, and the film is completely unmissable – the disc is a collector’s dream. Being a big fan of the first animated movie I was very excited for this to release especially with ghost spider on the big screen.

The second part is told through by another alternate, Spider-Gwen, a one-time girlfriend of Peter Parker’s Spider-man, but in her universe went through the same transformation where she became Spider-woman. Suffice it to say you could watch this movie ten times and still probably miss a few of these cleverly hidden items.We get more of Miles and Gwen as well as a new slew of Spider-Man’s that you didn’t even know existed (Lego Spider-Man included). It might be a cumbersome task to come up with a movie that one ups its predecessor, but that’s what Hollywood is all about. Or maybe it’s that it’s been five years since I saw the first and I could/should have done a little brush up before diving head first into this one. Because it was the radioactive spider from this particular universe that spins the web that intertwines Miles Moralas and the rest of the Spider-men throughout existence.

Creating the Ultimate Spider-Man Movie– The obligatory “making of…” feature that tells of the trials and tribulations of how this movie was made, to make it bigger, better, etc. Across the Spider-verse ups the ante and the story telling to ecstatic levels, with everything coming together to produce a perfect whole. And an animated chase, with no real threat, that you are already tired of, is just tedious beyond words. Still not to keen on miles morales, still comes across as a stubborn child but still great voice acting which I can not fault. There are buzzes, crackles and just about every other sound you can imagine that’ll keep your head spinning for more than a couple hours.How does a franchise (or one part of a franchise at least) go from so good to so bad in one fell swoop? That 120-day gap is a great metric to look at, but an even longer wait is now expected until fans can stream Spider-Verse 2 on Netflix.
