About this deal

From the perspective of comfort, although they’re nowhere near the level of triple-flange tips, it still takes a bit to get used to them. They’re much longer than the other earphones and therefore get deeper in your ears, which may be a bit unsettling. I found it’s also a matter of inserting them at the right angle, as otherwise they become very uncomfortable and don’t sound good. If you get the insertion right, though, you get a great level of comfort. I find it inferior to the single-flange tips, but great for dual-flange ones. SpinFit CP360

They’re quite comfortable and in fact I find them to be slightly more comfortable than the CP100, because they fit more snugly in my ears. They’re the closest equivalent I have found among silicone tips to the sensation foam eartips give me: that my ear canal is sealed by something that fits snugly in it while respecting its shape and boundaries. In other words, it doesn’t feel like something that gets inside my ears while trying to impose its presence, asking my ear canal to adapt to it, but it feels like something that fits in the canal trying to take the space in there and nothing more. It’s a weird sensation that’s very difficult to describe, but I hope I somehow gave you an idea.

SpinFit CP145

On the whole, the SpinFit CP100 does improve the bass presentation slightly, so it’s something you should consider if you needed that little more bass extension. SpinFit CP100+ (Preview)

With the CP100, the Aurvana Trio’s mid-treble sounds a little harsher, while the midrange is slightly less articulated. I attribute it to a more filling bass and harmonics which somehow influenced the texture of the instruments, making them less clean. Where foam tips are concerned, however, the True Fidelity tips provided with 64 Audio models as well as the Marshmallow tips by Campfire Audio were found to be most comfortable. Interestingly, the SpinFit single-flange tip was more comfortable than MandarinE’s Symbio W hybrid tip (an ear tip with a thin layer of silicone coating an inner thermoplastic memory-foam core). The CP100 provides an easy fit on an IEM with smaller to medium sized nozzle like 64 Audio’s Universal fit offerings. CP145 The peculiarity of the CP100 is that they are tall (9.9 mm), but they are actually quite wider at 13.3 mm. This means that they won’t need to go very deep to seal off your ear canal and therefore will also be fine for earphones with short nozzles. Thanks to this good seal, bass is well extended and controlled, while the rest of the range comes out as well balanced and with no particular colouration and the same sensation of good control as in the lower area. As a whole, the sound is mostly unaltered and this also includes the “bad” side of this, as the tips won’t reduce peaks e.g. in the treble area. While the SpinFit silicone tips do not provide the most bass impact or authority, they offer a higher level of refinement compared to the Symbio W, Shure Olive & Final Audio E-tips. The Symbio W hybrid tips offer the most contrast here with a more impactful bass and energetic treble. However, the SpinFit tips really master the treble with detail and control that the other silicone tips do not possess.

Final Thoughts

Fits Jabra 75t, Google Pixel, and more without adapters. Has special adapters for AirPods Pro and Galaxy Buds. That preamble aside, the CP-500 has a soft flange along with a similarly soft bore. The flange also has a somewhat oily texture to it, resulting in a fit that’s not the most secure and requires a bit of a deeper insertion. It’s a very comfortable eartip but isolation is worse than the CP-100/145/360. This is an eartip I’d recommend if you’re someone who’s into “tip-rolling” (as in, experimenting with various eartips). The CP-500 provides interesting results with many IEMs.
