About this deal

In The Sting, Robert Redford's character can be seen drinking Bushmills whiskey before the final con. Bushmills is made for enjoying. Triple distilled and cask-matured, there's satisfying richness, warmth and a touch of honey sweetness in every sip. Victor It is the only 21 I've ever tried so I'm glad you replied. I will give it another go whenever I get the chance. The aroma is gentle and fruity, with hints of Mandarin orange. Also a slight sourness. Not very expressive but not uninviting either. Palate: Pronounced warm baking spices, and a nice light vanilla sweetness. It’s medium bodied with some chewy grains and well balanced tannins. Distinctly unmemorable, but pleasant.

In Independence Day, Jeff Goldblum's character is seen drinking a bottle of Bushmills, lamenting the end of the world. The taste was fresh and light, with a hint of sherry smoke, and a little salt joining the initial sweet toffee. Over a few seconds a hint of spice comes through to balance all the sweetness. Finish: short, smooth, a collection of the floral, grain and oak notes with green apples. Short finish that is consistently blends its flavours. Nose - Much deeper/richer than the JW, the sherry comes through strong, followed by toffee and marshmallow. Has the fizz of the JW but with cream and pears. More fruity. Beautifully balanced. We make whiskey like it's always been made round here. But Bushmills is much more than just a whiskey. It's a village, where families, friends and neighbours work side by side at the distillery. As we often say, 'without the village there'd be no whiskey, and without the whiskey there'd be no village'.According to my extensive research (i.e. 3 seconds in google), the single malt component of this blend spent a good deal of time in Oloroso sherry casks.

The 21-year-old single malt is aged for a minimum of 19 years in former Oloroso Sherry and Bourbon-seasoned casks, then transferred into Madeira casks for a further two years. “It has a huge depth that interweaves dried fruit flavours with spicy, aromatic maltiness and subtle nutty raisin notes,” says Bushmills. This whiskey has a slight after-burn but includes an interesting aftertaste. It is one to drink and savour slowly. An authentic whiskeyNose: Honeyed (sherry?) sweetness, i don't get the smoke but I do get some salt? And a spicy tang, possibly ginger? Jourgensen, Al; Wiederhorn, Jon (9 July 2013). Ministry: The Lost Gospels According To Al Jourgensen. Boston, MA: Da Capo Press. ISBN 9780306822186. OCLC 811206550– via the Internet Archive. I slowly walk into a lush garden clearing, hearing bird songs above me. Inhaling deeply, I can smell the bark of the trees, a caramel sweetness hangs in the air around me. The scent of a warm apple pie with cinnamon slowly fills the clearing. I close my eyes and inhale everything around me. Finish: medium length, red fruit developing to milk chocolate, cinnamon with a licorice note lingering.
