Once I started this “second chance” jewel, I could not put it down. I loved the characters, loved their flaws, loved how their friendships were tested! The friendship and the family love in this story is a lot of my favorite parts. All of the supporting characters were just as amazing as Heath and Leah.

Heath and Leah's story isn't perfect. It's ugly at times and beautiful in others. Some of the ugly was brutal but then you have some of the beautiful and that is flawless. Sweetest Heartbreak reminds readers what it means to put your heart out there and never know what kind of journey it will take, you just have to trust it and enjoy the ride. Swoon-worthy and angst-filled forbidden romance about star-crossed lovers at an elite boarding school, with dramatic twists you won’t see coming. So, let me get this straight,” I said. “You steal my boyfriend, tell lies about me to all our friends, and, as if that’s not enough, you now feel the need to come and warn me not to do the same thing.” I shook my head, disgusted with her. “Is that why you dragged Levi in here this morning? You must be feeling pretty insecure about things between the two of you if you felt the need to shove your relationship in my face and threaten me.” My summer has been fine,” I replied, but it absolutely killed me to be even slightly cordial. “And my mom owns this place. I’ve worked here as long as you’ve known me.”

Norma shrugged. She must have been struggling just as much as I was, but she gave no hint of being bothered by it. She wasn’t even slightly flushed; meanwhile, I was sweating like I’d just run a marathon. I had to wonder if Norma’s spitfire energy somehow combatted heat waves. Leah and Eli dated briefly in college but soon realized they were better off as friends. Heath happens to be Eli’s best friend fresh out of rehab who doesn’t look like he’s changed. Leah is drawn to him. One thing leads to another and Heath’s messes it all up by hurting Leah’s in the worsts of ways. This is their story. Twenty-three year old Leah Dawson is better off than most, and she knows it. With a supportive family, a great job out of college, and her best friend, Eli, by her side, she doesn’t take anything this life has to offer for granted. A lesson she learned when she lost her dad to cancer. Another lesson she’s learned? Don’t date your best friend. But she and Eli worked through the awkwardness and are now firmly planted in the friend zone. Until she meets Eli’s other best friend, Heath, and true feelings are exposed. When naïve, humble, and beautiful meets arrogant, brash, and handsome, it can only lead to…Sweetest Heartbreak Elle does not have that many people in her life that she cares about, but she does have them. There are just a few individuals inside of the ARC that she cares for, but she keeps them at arm’s length just in case she loses someone else. She is close to Sebastian, her best friend. She knows that she has feelings for him too but keeps herself in denial of that fact so that she never has to pursue them.

What I love about Heather's writing is that she gets down to the realness of it all. The heartbreak, the mistakes, the emotion, and the healing. She covers it all and this story is a prime example of it. Heath is one of those guys that well honestly we would consider a player. He has a lot of issues he needs to deal with. You wind up figuring out why he has them and you get why he does what he does. No one (woman) has been able to get to him; break down those walls he built years ago that keeps his heart well guarded. Despite the fact she wasn’t looking at me, I gave the woman a warm smile. “If you’d like to take a seat, I can bring those right over to you.” Okay, honey, if you say so.” Norma’s expression had changed, and her eyes were now filled with concern. He’s not your boyfriend anymore, Isobel, and it’s pretty rude that you were making eyes at him when I was sitting right there.”I absolutely LOVE this story! We get to meet the sweetest woman Leah, with her friendly fun loving personality and her best friend Eli by her side I know you will adore her too! These two are the cutest of best friends and I totally get it, my bff is a guy too!

I didn’t dislike the writing as much as other people that have read it had but the characters were so one dimensional that even if the dialogues were 10/10 i wouldn’t be able to read the with a straight face. I looked up from the stubborn stain on the counter I was cleaning. A woman had just entered the café with her husband and teenage son in tow. I immediately recognized them as they had eaten here several times this week already, and the woman’s face was pumped so full of chemicals it was kind of hard to forget. During her senior year at an elite boarding school in London, Leah meets second generation Chinese businessman Mason Li. It should be a simple request. Noah is the king of Weybridge Academy, the heir to an empire and a serial heartbreaker. I’m just the new girl who grew up waiting tables. I don’t fit into Noah’s world, and he could never be a part of mine.

Synopsis Sweet Heartbreak (Weybridge Academy Book 1)

I let out a sigh and shook my head. “I’ve told you all summer I don’t want to go to college anymore.” Was that even a thing? I’d heard some pretty obscure coffee requests in my time, but this was a first. Nina had always drunk her coffee with low-fat milk, so I knew she was being difficult for the sake of it. She was probably hoping to force a reaction out of me, but I didn’t bite. I swallowed down my irritation before responding. “We don’t have quinoa milk.”

This is a complete and total spoiler review!!!!! If you haven't ready the book, don't read it, unless your like me and want to know ahead of time.I wasn’t sure how I managed to survive the rest of their stay at the café—especially when it seemed Nina was going out of her way to paw at Levi whenever I was close by. It was a miracle I didn’t lose my composure, and I had to bite my tongue several times to stop myself from uttering the cutting remarks that so easily came to mind. Our books on heartbreak will show you not only effective solutions to solve that couple conflict that afflicts you, but will show you other perspectives and the most touching stories of heartbreak through literary works. I enjoyed this story very much. At first I wasn’t so sure because I hate love triangles but it was far from being it. Great storyline that flowed well. Full of angst, but not overly so. I wanted to throw my kindle at heath a time or two. Bottomline this is a must read. Now, as the last week of school ends and she prepares to leave for college, she must face not only the huge breakup from one relationship but also a chance meeting with the boy who broke up with her. I wanted to escape into the safety of the kitchen, but I couldn’t seem to move as I watched my ex-boyfriend walk hand in hand across the room with the girl who used to be my best friend. Could this day get any worse?
