About this deal

The general use of Verde Anticorrosione is a myth that for some reason keeps being retold, even if primary sources and artifacts clearly tell a different story. Sennheiser’s SKM 835-XSW-A is different in that you can customize virtually all aspects of its performance. Mind, these books are now 20 year old however they are among the most recent works on the subject. In this book the authors clearly state that the introduction of the Tavola 10 schemes and colours was quite fast. What they do not state but some believe is that actually some of these colours were already available under different names before their official introduction, particularly regarding Grigio Azzurro Chiaro 1. This mic can capture acoustic instruments beautifully and can also be used to record very loud sources like a fully cranked guitar amp. With an ultra-low self-noise performance of just 13dB-A, these Neumann mics are ideal to record soft 'could hear a pin drop' playing styles, but they can also handle high sound pressure levels of up to 138dB, making them good for the loud stuff too.

This microphone is an institution and that is not an overstatement. The Royer R-121 Ribbon mic has been a beloved tool among discerning engineers and producers that want an incredible mic that is also versatile. With hi-hats, it’s okay, and sometimes better, to have a mic that’s frequency response leans more toward mid and high frequencies. This microphone delivers crystal clear mids and high-end frequencies, making it perfect for cymbals and overheads. It really captures subtle tones and accentuates differences in how the hi-hats are played with each stroke. The sound is balanced and not too sharp.I’d suggest placing the hi-hat mic about 4-5 inches above the top hi-hat cymbal, pointing towards the edge of the cymbal. If you're plagued by a dull, boxy sounding acoustic, chances are a C451 or two will bring enough clarity and brightness to lift it out of the mix. This is partly due to the C451's ultra-fine diaphragm and somewhat down to its pronounced presence bump after about 5KHz. In addition, the switchable low-cut filter that can roll-off the bass at 75Hz or 150Hz, will help to remove any muddiness induced by the proximity effect when close miking, letting that shimmer shine on through. Most SM.81s were withdrawn by the time of the Italian armistice of 1943, though some remained in service with both the Italian Social Republic and the Italian Co-Belligerent Air Force. Simply said, the ATM450 is a very versatile mic that will work nicely in a variety of sources. It offers great value and is made by one of the most respected names in the industry. 5. Mojave Audio MA-200

What I loved about this microphone the most is the combination of its easy-to-use, easy-to-set benefits, which makes it perfect for both beginners and seasoned veterans. Pros Overall the Shure SM81 captures shimmering high frequencies with clarity, and this makes it perfect for recording the nuances of hi-hats and cymbals. It also has very low noise and it offers superb value for money. Several examples survived the war and went on to serve with the Aeronautica Militare Italiana, but by 1950 these had all been retired.Accurate transient response: It's always preferable to have a pronounced transient response when miking stringed instruments. There is a lot of information in the relatively fast transients of the nylon strings of the ukulele.

The AT2035 is a great-sounding mic that offers unparalleled value. This mic is for anyone on a budget that still wants great sounding guitars, vocals, and more. The SM.81 had a three-engine configuration, but unlike the Sparviero, was fitted with a wide range of engines throughout its production: Several examples survived the war and went on to serve the Aeronautica Militare Italiana, but by 1950 they had all been retired. Closer to the budget end, beyond what's already been mentioned, there's things like the Behringer B5, Studio Projects C4s (the omni caps are decent, if you room sounds good and is quiet enough), and the sE Electronics SE8 (which I like at the price and are pretty quiet for an SDC). Worth thinking about what polar pattern options are available. There are many ways to manually remove hi-hat audio bleeding, such as ramping up a highpass filter or positioning your microphones a bit differently.
