About this deal

Xiahou Hui was the daughter of Xiahou Shang and the Lady of Deyang District (personal name unknown). Her brother was Xiahou Xuan. The Lady of Deyang District was Cao Zhen's younger sister. Xiahou Hui bore Sima Shi five daughters but no sons. [17] One of the five daughters was married to Zhen De but she died early. [18] [19] The names of the five daughters are not known. In Chinese server, her name was changed to Rider241 then 莱妮丝, which is a Chinese transliteration of "Reines". The forged edict meant that Sima Wei held significant control over the military. Immediately following the deaths of Sima Liang and Wei Guan, he was advised to utilize his military authority to execute Empress Jia's powerful relatives, Jia Mi and Guo Zhang. However, Wei was hesitant in accepting this plan. In Empress Jia's camp, the minister, Zhang Hua urged her to punish Wei for killing the emperor's regents. Just one day after Liang's death, Empress Jia deployed her troops against Wei and spread doubt regarding the edict's authenticity among his soldiers. Deserted by his followers, Wei was captured and executed. [5] Interlude: Empress Jia (291–300) [ edit ] Power behind the throne [ edit ] By empowering the princes, Emperor Wu intended for them to act as a safeguard for his successors against the gentry clans should they overstep their boundaries, even more so considering Sima Zhong's disability. Wu had likely hoped that his family members, by virtue of their familial ties, would cooperate with each other to protect the interests of their dynasty. However, after Zhong took the throne and became a mere figurehead, the princes later proved themselves self-serving and willing to undermine one another for real control over the empire.

A Servant who hides her devilish intention behind her angelic smile. Making others suffer brings utmost joy to her, especially when she toys around Zhuge Liang. Cao Chong's note that Sima Yi closely resembled his father (during the former's re-enactment of the recruitment scene at the stables) is a nod to the two men's elevation as emperors posthumously. Soon, the soldiers advanced and set fire to the residence. Yang Jun's soldiers were routed, and he was killed while trying to escape. His brothers, supporters and their families were all rounded up and executed to the third degree. Yang Zhi was spared but placed under house arrest, where she remained until her death in 292. Artistic License – History: Numerous, considering the series is a historical drama first and foremost:Historical In-Joke: Hua Tuo being executed before the exposure of Dong Cheng's plot is one, considering that he was depicted in Romance of the Three Kingdoms to die years after his historical death. The factional struggle within Shu-Han was slightly more complicated in real life. note Besides the native Yi province faction, and the Jing province faction which followed Liu Bei into Yi province, there was a third faction consisting of non-native officials who came to Yi province during Liu Zhang's reign; Li Yan actually belonged to this faction. Empress Jia deemed the Crown Prince, Sima Yu as a threat to her power should he ascend the throne, since he was not her biological son. In 299, she orchestrated his arrest by convincing him while drunk to copy a text that said, amongst other things, that Emperor Hui should abdicate in favor of him. Empress Jia then presented the copied text to Emperor Hui, who then decided to place him under house arrest. [8] During Lun's regency, the Inspector of Yi Province, Zhao Xin, a relative of Empress Jia, rebelled against following his coup. In early 301, his rebellion was quelled after his subordinate, the Ba- Di refugee leader, Li Te, betrayed and ousted him from Chengdu.

Hao Zhao warming the wine in anticipation of Wang Shuang's victory is both a nod to the similar scene in Romance involving Guan Yu before his bout with Hua Xiong, and a lampshade on Wang's eventual defeat and death. Yang Huiyu was the daughter of Yang Chen and Lady Cai. She had two brothers: Yang Cheng (elder) and Yang Hu (younger). Yang Chen's father was Yang Xu. Lady Cai had a sister, Cai Wenji, and their father was Cai Yong. Yang Huiyu did not have any sons with Sima Shi. [15] [16] It is not known if they had any daughters. Sima Wang succeeded his uncle Sima Lang. He had four sons: Sima Yi, Sima Hong, Sima Zheng and Sima Mao. [41] Sima Huang [ edit ] Ying's party managed to reach Luoyang, but with very little troops, Zhang Fang was able to dominate him and take possession of Emperor Hui. For a brief period, Zhang Fang was in charge of state affairs. He remained with the in Luoyang for a few more months, but his soldiers were becoming restless and were suggesting him to move the emperor to Chang'an. On 14 December 304, Zhang Fang forced Emperor Hui to stay at the ramparts he built during his war with Sima Ai. With the emperor away, Zhang Fang's men looted the palaces in the capital. He also planned to burn them down as well, but was persuaded not to by Lu Zhi. Sima Yi is significantly more devoted to his wife than in actual history, going so far as willingly disobeying a royal edict and losing his position because of his love for his wife. Historically, Sima Yi favored Lady Bai over Zhang Chunhua in later years, which drove the latter into a hunger strike. Sima Yi only apologized to his wife because his sons joined their mother and he didn't want his boys to suffer. note Yi calling Chunhua "(an) old thing" (Original: 老物) in this anecdote may be self-deprecating, given that he was about a decade older than his wife. Also, Yi and Chunhua had their youngest son Gan circa 232 CE, where he's about 53 and she's about 43.Sima Fu had nine sons: Sima Yong (Zikui), Sima Wang, Sima Fu (Prince Cheng of Taiyuan), Sima Yi, Sima Huang, Sima Gui (Ziquan), Sima Gui (Zizhang), Sima Heng and Sima Jing.
