Based in Brazil, JoyMasher is an independent game studio founded by Danilo Dias and Thais Weiller in early 2012. Noticed a few years earlier with Oniken and Odallus, JoyMasher is praised by the press and players uponthe release of Blazing Chrome, a true ode to 1990s arcade games, and nowVengeful Guardian: Moonrider. Further, games like Cuphead invested in a full puppet and other collectibles for their physical edition. Either way, retro titles don’t necessarily need the works, since having a case to proudly display is more than satisfying enough to relive old school gaming. It’ll be a joy to find out what artwork they decide on, with so many environments, heroes and enemies to choose from.
