Veggiemesh® is light enough so it can be laid directly over your crops but also works perfectly over any garden hoops and garden cages.

Veggiemesh 'Ultra Fine' is a very fine mesh netting woven from u.v. stabilised polyethylene. The mesh size is 0.8 x 0.8mm. The netting is very durable with a life expectancy of at least for several years. I have used this product for a few years now and it is still as good as ever. My garden is in a windy location so I cover most beds with this - hoops to make a sort of a tunnel - in the early months of the growing season. It is a great help to the young plants I leave it on all the time on the carrots and cabbages. At this stage, I can't imagine how I would grow brassicas with out it.

You should consider the size of the water you wish to net and certainly the size of your target species when deciding which mesh size will work best. Micromesh is the ultimate in organic pest control and plant protection for fruit and vegetable crops. The mesh is fine enough to keep out the smallest of pests like cabbage root fly, while still allowing air, sunlight, and moisture in so the plants remain healthy. There is no need to remove the mesh when watering or applying a liquid feed. Veggiemesh® will keep out a wide range of garden pests including cabbage root fly, carrot fly, cabbage white butterfly, pea moth, leek moth, cutworm, onion fly, leaf miners and many species of aphids.
