London Calling… again.
Monday the 28th of January Fiona and myself embarked on a trip to London. I’ve always loved London as there is always so much to do an see. London is the perfect place to celebrate someone’s birthday. In this case, it was Fiona’s. 3 day trip to London seemed the perfect little getaway.
Henry The 8th Hotel
Finding an absolute steal on booking.com we found a hotel for 2 nights and breakfast included for £60 each. The hotel we stayed at was in Hyde Park. A perfect central location to get to places with there being so many different tube stations near the hotel. Taken from Henry The 8th hotel’s website “The impressive Victorian façade from the 19th century, the Tudor-style décor and the indoor swimming pool makes this hotel a unique accommodation in the heart of London, within walking distance from two Underground stations. The Hotel Henry VIII stands out for its attentive service and its excellent location, being close to the main attractions of this exclusive area: Portobello market, Hyde Park and Kensington Palace, Lady Di’s former place of residence, are near at hand”
Furthermore, the hotel was very in theme with the name. Each floor was dedicated to one of the wives of Henry the 8th. Fiona and I were staying on the Jane Seymour floor. Our room was very in keeping with the theme of the hotel. The part of the hotel that I liked the most was the heated swimming pool which was down on the lower ground of the hotel. It was a lovely addition to the hotel, which was used. The breakfast had a very good spread on in the morning too.
Our first day was mainly a travel day and so we didn’t really get up to much. However, we managed to take some outfit shots for my collaboration with Boohoo Man. We went out for a meal in the evening and called an early night for our main adventure day on Tuesday.
On Tuesday the 29th of January, Fiona and I embarked on such an adventure. It took us to most of the attractions in London. Boy, did we feel it afterwards? Walking around London you don’t realise just how much you’re walking till you look at your steps app on your phone and realise you’ve walked 35,000 steps which are the equivalent on 16 miles.
Our first trip entailed the Sky Garden. This is my 3rd time in Visiting the Sky Garden. I just can’t get enough of how beautiful the aesthetics are in this stunning building. Free to the public, but
