About this deal

The 100 round hopper is a joy to reload, taking only a few seconds to drop a handful of rounds in to just keep playing during extended Nerf wars. Usually, when you hold down the trigger in full-auto the range and speed drops as the flywheel cannot keep up. With D batteries I managed an average of 94 FPS, which is pretty good, but the rechargeable pack chalked up an average muzzle velocity of 101FPS.

This is not a huge deal but it is worth noting you don’t have that really crisp response time you get with a Stryfe or spring powered blasters. It is also practical as it takes out the grunt work of reloading mags and carrying dump pouches with a load of ammo is so much easier than mags. The Nemesis currently tops my list of fully automatic Nerf blasters right now; that’s how much I like this machine. As you would expect, the results were almost identical to the Khaos, which essentially shares the same flywheel mechanism.Power it with batteries or the Nerf Rival Rechargeable Battery Pack (batteries not included and battery pack sold separately). There is also an ambidextrous safety catch that stops it revving, so check both of these if nothing happens. If you’ve never played with a fully automatic blaster before, you’re in for a treat with the Nemesis. The D batteries are heavier and don’t spin the flywheels up as fast and so does not fire as hard as the rechargeable pack, which we talk about later. I believe the plastic make up of this product makes it fragile in nature, at what this product costs, I feel it should be made of a more durable material.

The Nerf Rival Nemesis MXVII-10K blaster is not only easy to load and quick to unleash a fury of blistering rounds at an astounding velocity of 100 feet per second but it is also available in either red or blue (sold separately) so you can choose your colour and battle as a team! Looking over the rest of the Nemesis, there is a set of iron sights on the top and a tactical rail on the hopper in front of the loading door. The problem is that sometimes it does not fire with a short jab to the trigger, so it is usually better to just let fly and stop once you have obliterated your target…did I mention, 100 rounds? That's more than double the capacity of the previous heavy-support blaster— the Nerf Rival Khaos—which can only hold some 40 rounds in its monster magazines. It holds either 6 D batteries, or one of Nerf's new Rival rechargable battery packs (sold separately), which make the whole beast of a blaster go. They built this big guy with older folks in mind (I'd say 12 and up crowd) so its a HEAVY toy without s ome sort of strap.

I managed to clear several of them with a hefty shake, but one did require me to remove the hopper and fish the offending round out. I am serious when I say that I truly believe that NERF is for kids of all ages… including us big kids. They’re fun to have and look great, but honestly, they don’t really add much value when it comes to the accuracy of your firing.
