I won’t fault people for asking questions, as you can only learn by asking sometimes, but I get this weird gut feeling that this desire to know is not really genuine. I'd like to think that Kate will one day be free from the torment of these voices, but we go into the book with them talking to her loud and clear.

She really is one of the good guys trying to bring down the corrupt police officers which had a hand in her husband's death, but finds herself being dragged down with them.
