About this deal

Brother laser and laser-class printers consistently churn out excellent, well-shaped, and highly legible text, and this one is no exception.

Rather than being a true laser printer, the HL-L3210CW is an LED-based (light-emitting diode) machine. It's not disastrous, but it is annoying, and a slight disappointment as everything else is very good. OS Required Linux, Android, Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 Edition, Microsoft Windows 7 (32/64 bits), Microsoft Windows Server 2008 (32/64-bits), Apple iOS, Windows 8 (32/64 bits), Microsoft Windows Server 2012 x64 Edition, Windows 8.As you can see in the image below, the HL-L3210CW comes with an antiquated control panel that consists of a one-line monochrome LCD display and buttons for Power, Wi-Fi, Back, OK, Secure printing, Cancel, and Go, along with up and down directional keys. Paper is fed from front to rear, and unless the 'straight-passage' exit is opened at the rear, paper then exits forwards between the printer and the scanner; there's plenty of space for a pile of copies. Explore Comet and discover a constellation of products from washing machines and fridge freezers to air fryers, 4K TVs, laptops, consoles and more - it’s easy to find everything you need for your home in the Comet universe. Your satisfaction is our priority, and we're committed to ensuring you find the perfect compatible Brother HL-L3210CW multipack toner. Brother PrintSmart for Business Essential is a flexible subscription service that can be added to a NEW transactional hardware purchase.

This calculation is based on current pricing which is subject to change over time and excludes the cost of additional long life components such as drums, fusers or other maintenance items. However, darker areas and black weren’t particularly deep and in larger areas of colour, such as a clear blue sky, some light banding was evident. This model is 'basic' in Brother's L5000 touch-screen controlled printer/copier/scanner/fax series; the top model is faster and is the only one with auto-duplex copy/scanning as well as the duplex printing all models have. If you're in the market for a laser-class machine for printing good-looking business graphics, all of the other laser-class models discussed here are better choices than this Brother. It measures a reasonably compact 410 x 461 x 252mm (WDH), connects via USB or Wi-Fi, and prints at a resolution of 600 x 2,400dpi. The print quality is reasonable, although I've found that some of the colours aren't perfectly aligned, even after a manual calibration.

Every time I open it I must sign in and it seems slow, luckily I don’t have to use it and just print with air print but if you want to change the settings then prepare for a quiet undisturbed time so your swearing won’t bother other family members. If you are a real person - please complete the challenge above - it's the regular find the Fire Hydrants, Traffic lights etc challenge which we all see on the Internet regularly - and once done you won't see this page again. It's a bit larger and heavier than Canon's Color imageClass LBP612Cdw and Lexmark's C2325dw, both entry-level true lasers. They share consumables with the MFC-L basic printer-copiers and and HL-L printers, including new drum units at 18,000 cycles, waste toner box similarly and transfer belt and fuser unit at 50,000 cycles.Setting up in this way is slightly fiddly as the on screen keyboard is tiny, making selecting the correct characters a bit awkward. It has a 30,000-page maximum monthly duty duty cycle, with recommended monthly print volumes of 1,500 pages, which is again in line with or better than its competitors. With a maximum printing resolution of 2400 x 600 dpi, the HL-L3210CW Brother model is capable of producing clear, high-quality prints that are considered better than many competitors in the entry-level range.

Some rival models have cheaper-to-use 'official' consumables, a few have cheaper-to-use remanufactured toners. It effortlessly handles various paper types and sizes, eliminating worries about technical interruptions and boosting productivity. Plus, by law, using compatible Brother HL-L3210CW multipack toner won't invalidate your printer warranty, providing peace of mind. By using the high yield supplies, you won’t have to spend time changing your toner as often, as well as achieving a competitive cost per page for both colour and mono. However, it lacks an auto-duplexing print engine for churning out two-sided pages without your having to flip them manually. If budget is top of mind and you only print a few hundred pages a month, the HL-L3210CW will serve you well. The space/memory saving interface of the app isn’t my favourite thing ever, but works reasonably well – and even using this you have options to make resource-saving choices such as printing multiple pages to one, and using the duplexing unit to print double-sided. The Canon LBP612Cdw's running costs, for example, are the same as the HL-L3210CW's, and the Lexmark C2325dw's per-page costs are, for both black pages and color, just a fraction of a cent lower.
