About this deal

But since this is a book for children (albeit one which doesn't hesitate to stretch the vocabularies of younger ones), I can excuse that. Before I gift this to some young relatives of mine, I intend to prepare a pronunciation guide in LaTeX (or LyX) and tape it into the endpapers.

Born Ingri Mortenson in Kongsburg, Norway, she studied art in Norway, Germany and France, and met Edgar Parin d'Aulaire when she was a student in Munich.

Ingri and Edgar Parin d'Aulaires' Book of Greek Myths, published by Doubleday in 1962, was an elaborately illustrated compendium of Greek mythology, 192 pages in 46 chapters.

I know this is like everyone's favorite childhood mythology book (including mine, I think), but I don't like it.After pursuing separate careers initially, the couple turned to illustrating children's books together, releasing their first collaborative effort, The Magic Rug, in 1931.

All the stuff she did was pretty cool, and really smart to make the daughters of that King cook him alive. It breaks my heart a little that my son is, for some perverse reason of his own, fixed in the idea that he doesn't like Greek myths. He illustrated many books in Germany from 1922 to 1926 and painted frescoes in Norway from 1926 to 1927. I know that she gets white-washed in every painting ever, so the d'Aulaires' were probably just following in that tradition, but come ooooooon. She was where the boy she loved was, and he sat beside the water and fell in love with himself and said, "I love you.

The d'Aulaires received the Catholic Library Association Regina Medal for "continued distinguished contribution to children's literature" in 1970. I occasionally wonder if I would be the person I am now if I hadn't discovered this book at such a young age. And I like that even with that guy with the bones of that instrument that didn't work upside down, I love how he beat that guy. After studying architecture for a year in Munich, he began art studies at its School of Arts and Crafts (German: Kunstgewerbeschule). derinlemesine bir inceleme beklemeyin dediğim gibi sadeleştirilmiş bir baskı bu ama daha önce hiç okumadıysanız ve ilginizi çekiyorsa keyif alacağınızı düşünüyorum. No more than Mother Goose, but they formed the imagination and are part of our Western understanding of who we are.
