Like most aftermarket radios, the iLX-W650 does not have inherent ability to switch between different cameras with triggers from the turn signals. Apple HomeKit Compatible: CarPlay now supports control of Apple HomeKit enabled devices (sold separately) through Siri. But performance in the real world is affected by the acoustics of your car or home, your choice of amplification, and your source material. The Alpine iLX-W650 has fully integrated Apple CarPlay and Android Auto into the unit to bring the Apple/Android interface directly to your car. I can't say for sure how it would perform in a convertible with direct sun exposure but from what I've seen I wouldn't hesitate to try it out. You can further upgrade your iLX-W650BT with the KTA-450 4-channel power pack, to increase your sound output by five times.
