About this deal

It's an education hidden in a tense, compelling, anger-driven narrative, Beatrice and Diana both knock-out characters. I'm happy to delete them, but this isn't my list and the votes would be lost, and I'm not sure how to handle that. Existing as a woman in our increasingly atomized world can be isolating in ways that are hard to even identify.

The fate of the entire world lies on her shoulders but will she make the right choice, no matter who she really loves? The Binding meets The Handmaid's Tale - Discovering a book of dark and ancient power, a convent librarian must defend it with her life. Adam and Eve entered the cave and stood there praying in their own language, which was unknown to us, but which they knew well. As for the south side of the garden, God was not happy letting Adam live there, because when the wind blew from the north, it would bring the delightful scent of the trees of the garden to Adam who was on the south side. The book has a startling, mysterious beginning which got me totally hooked, but as I moved through the novel I found it increasingly difficult to remember who was who and wanted to flick back to be clear about earlier events.

The Book of Eve by Meg Clothier is set in Renaissance Florence, where Sister Beatrice is the librarian in a convent.

Based upon the mysterious Voynich Manuscript (which has both fascinated and baffled scholars for centuries) Meg Clothier has woven a dark and gorgeously atmospheric, feminist tale of that I didn’t want to put down! A distinct personality with strong principles, she was not always the easiest to take to but I respected her as a character and found her interesting with her depth and flaws. Es triste ver este tipo de historias porque al tener un componente histórico, aún con toda la ficción de sus líneas, te lleva a pensar en todas aquellas mujeres de la época que vivieron situaciones similares.

A UK-based literary agency representing internationally published authors of fiction (commercial and literary), non-fiction, and children’s books. The Book of Eve features Sister Beatrice, the covent's librarian, who prefers to be with her books and manuscripts than people, even her sisters of the convent. In her thoughtful debut, Eve, legal scholar Claire Horn examines the boundaries of motherhood through an unusual lens: artificial wombs . Again Adam said to Eve, What is our body today, compared to what it was in previous times, when we lived in the garden? The Slavonic Life of Adam and Eve, also known as The Third Book of Adam and Eve, is 28-39 of the Latin Life of Adam and Eve.
