Yes the batteries do run out fairly quickly when left on for long periods of time but don’t forget to pop spare batteries in the storage box and you will be fine. A little tip, hang a saw on the wall rather than the laser itself, you’ve got a bit of play in the height it’s set at then.
I tried to level something on the floor couldn't quite get it to work unless it's me but it's great for walls and fits perfectly on tri pod. If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag. Comes with a magnetic clip that allows you to mount it on flat metal surfaces, as well as the bottom tripod mount. I bought this in Electricfix ( Screwfix) on a sale, it created accuracy on my jobs offering straight lines for my conduit/ cable runs. li>

The laser unit itself is magnetic which means it can be stuck straight to most metal surfaces or you can use the bracket it comes with. Green laser wasn’t available at time of purchase, but I would recommend getting the green one if using outside or in bright conditions.
Used the red laser for years then decided to make the jump over to a green one and can say Im well impressed.Needed this for a few jobs, far easier to set this up once than keep using a tape measure, not suitable for every job but useful to keep in the tool box. I'm a home builder and have used laser levels since they came out, mostly for conventional leveling tasks.
