Dr Eger addresses the prisons of victimhood, avoidance, self-neglect, secrets, guilt and shame, unresolved grief, rigidity, resentment, paralysing fear, judgement, hopelessness, and not forgiving. I felt, more than workable info, this book was a lengthy recounting of her own story with a few pieces of corny advice thrown in.
