The temp gauge said its 29° here in e.devon today, so this is just to enable my lad to run his car with the shell on...Until his new ESC arrives The Hobbywing Quicrun 60A ESC is a quality controller ideal for 1/10 scale vehicles. With superior water and dust proofing it will stand up to all weather conditions leaving you free to enjoy the action. The Quicrun also has low voltage cut off as well as over-heating and signal loss protection. I have also bought a fan which is now on the esc but the car is still cutting out after a few minutes!!! Three running modes: Fwd/Br, Fwd/Rev/Br and Fwd/Rev, fits for various vehicles (Fwd =Forward, Br=Brake, Rev=Reverse).

I have a 1060 in my Neo Fighter, and I will agree that the breaking power of that ESC is quite poor compared to a brushless. I don't however, find the breaking power of the TBLE02 to be any better, I find it to be worse actually. I think part of the problem is that you need a lot of power for breaking, and brushed systems are just not as powerful as brushless. Remember that the ESC is not the only limiting factor, the motor is as well because the motor is the brake. That's what I like about brushless systems, they are much better in terms of brakes.
