2020 , LET’S DO THIS!
Happy New Year. It’s a new year and it’s a new year to realign my focus to some of the goals I want to achieve this year. It goes without saying that 2018 wasn’t the best of years for me. I had so many things go against me and things I just couldn’t control. However, I channelled that energy and emotion into something I loved, and that was photography and content. 2020 is another year to channel that passion into even more projects to keep my creativity alive. Not only do I want to set myself creativity goals, I also want to achieve goals that I’ve felt I’ve wanted to do for some time. But I never had the focus and drive like I do now. So here are my main goals and achievements I’d love to achieve this year.
One of the main things I wanted to do my creativity was to channel it back into YouTube. I’ve had a YouTube channel for a while now and I have really missed showcasing my editing skills and creativity with my videos. So before the clock struck midnight I uploaded my first YouTube of 2020 giving a little insight into what I want to showcase over this next year. The video goes into detail of how I want to achieve my creativity goals and what I want to achieve by doing so. Instead of just focusing on fashion related videos I wanted to delve into creating videos that showcase my personality and people can get a little closer to me. I’ve had so many ideas on this, such as behind the scenes of my photoshoots I do as well as collaborations with other bloggers. Here is the new video, don’t forget to like and subscribe for more videos.
Saving, Saving, Saving for the “Barbie Dream House 2020”
Since moving out last year, then having to move back home and seeing my best friend buy her own house, the dream for me to get my own place has become something I really want. Going into a new year it’s something I want to happen sooner than later. Turning the wonderful age of 28 this year I want to have my own place by the end of the year. I’ve been saving frantically and saving any money I make from blog collaborations and anything left over from my paycheck every month. The dream to have my own place is becoming more and more of a need than a want. I want somewhere to call my home. Somewhere to decorate the way I want it. My own space to entertain and be able to do my photoshoots for my blog and instagram without having a family member around to make comments. 2020 I’m hoping the dream will become a reality.
Imagination is the key to perfect content for 2020.
The last 6 months of 2019 I felt I really pushed myself in terms of content for my Instagram. I really wanted to push myself and create photographs that tell a story. With each image I really felt I achieved this, from my TY French inspired pride flag photoshoot, My Alice in Wonderland photoshoot, My Halloween photoshoot where I was a werewolf to my final festive and new year images. I came up with concepts and photoshoots that I actually dream of. Sounds ridiculous but I actually dream of my photoshoots and then I pencil down ideas for what I want them to look like. I normally go onto Pintrest to find any inspiration and pull lots of ideas together in a board on there. From that I then start the process of planning.
2020 I want to really release my inner creative demon and let loose. I am already planning content for Valentines and what I want to do for a photoshoot. Let’s just say cupid and his bow and arrows will make an appearance. I know people really love my creativity and it’s something I’m known for. So 2020 is the year I shall push it even further and go bigger.
Meet more blogger friends.
This is something that is on the top of my list. I have made so many amazing friends from blogging and it’s so nice that we share the same passion. People who are like me that are showcasing their creativity to the world just like I am. I find it so amazing that you can make friends with people regardless of how far away they live, as long as you have the same passions. There are way too many people to mention but I know you know who you are. I so want to start meeting you guys and starting to collaborate with you!
Gym Gym Gym
I’ve really wanted to get my body to a place where I’m seriously happy with. I bounce in and out of workouts every now and again which doesn’t help my body. I want to get into a rhythm and routine once more like I did when I first started going to the gym. My body is a far cry from when I first started the gym but I really want to push my body further and train harder. I want to really push my body harder and train more frequently. I want a body that I can look in the mirror and think yes I’ve worked so hard for this! Therefore I am thinking of getting back into the gym instead of doing my home workouts, which is what I’m used too.
So these are the main goals I’m going after this year, I’m feeling pretty productive and ambitious at the moment and I want that feeling to continue. I want to push myself further in 2020 and go beyond what I want to achieve. I’ve got this! Have you got any goals or achievements you want to achieve this year?
