About Fred Bennett
Taken from the Fred Bennett website:
Fred Bennett launched in 2004 to fill the void for a contemporary British heritage men’s jewellery brand. Over the years, we have won many awards and accolades for quality and innovation in jewellery design. including Jewellery Brand of the Year. We have been featured in GQ and FHM magazine. We are proud to create jewellery for the modern man.
Our jewellery is designed in house by our award-winning designers. These designs are then produced using a mix of the latest technology. Also using traditional techniques to create unparalleled intricacy and detail. Each piece is crafted from the finest materials. Including premium leather, semi-precious stones, sterling silver and stainless steel.
Peter Jackson has kindly gifted me a Fred Bennett pieces of jewellery. Taken from their “Adventurer” sub section of their brand. Each section showcases different material uses and gives a different approach to the modern man. The Adventurer is:
“Burnished metals, woven leathers and suede’s in earthy finishes. Create textures that tell a store. The adventurer brings a rugged feel to every day wear. That looks great worn stacked or as a single piece”
In addition to the Adventurer, on the website there is also,
The Maverick: Embodying an iconic rebellious attitude, the maverick is for those who don’t obey the rules. Punk and tribal influences coming stainless steel and tactile black leather to create a bold look.
The New Gent: Stylish and unique. The New Gent embraces classic styling with a modern edge. Inspired by architectural and geometric forms. Shell inlay, chevron patterning and black metal bring a contemporary twist to classic profiles.
The Classic: Crafted in sterling silver the classic embraces sleek profiles. Perfect for a special occasion. Versatile enough to wear every day.
My adventurer bracelet came in a beautiful dark blue leather pouch. The leather pouch resembled a wallet which I thought was a very nice touch. Also, the leather pouch has a popper button to keep your piece of jewellery safe when you’re not wearing it.
Putting on the bracelet I could instantly tell that it was made with real leather. Sturdy and very well made. The bracelet doesn’t let you change how big or small it is. Being someone with skinny wrists, I did find this a problem. However, someone with normal sized wrists this would fit perfectly. Thought a little big it’s going to become something I wear all the time. It’s a really good addition to any outfit.
The adventurer sub category gives me the sense that the guy who wears these types of jewellery is a very easy going guy. Almost giving me beach vibes with this sub category.
Adding to this, I really love the little detail that’s been added to the stainless steel section of the bracelet. They have managed to put the brand name onto it which I feel is another personal touch for the brand to showcase.
In conclusion this is a beautiful bracelet and one I would most certainly wear. I really love the detail on the leather with it’s chevron design and the metal detailing where the bracelet joins. All in All it’s a lovely piece. Looking on the website there are a few more pieces I’d love to team the bracelet with. It’s the perfect addition for any man.
