Orange, You Glad To See Me?
Summer. I absolutely love Summer. Who doesn’t though? Longer days, warmer days (If the British weather allows it) everyone just seems to be in a more of an up lifted mood than any other season. With Summer in mind I really love the fashion that comes with Summer. Fashion in the summer is always so much bolder and brighter than that of it’s neighbouring seasons such as Spring and Autumn. Hints of Orange, Yellow, Blues and Reds manifest into this beautiful colour palette for Summer.
As people look to go on holiday in summer the majority of focus goes to holiday wear. Things that are of ease of for the holiday goer. As well as beautiful holiday clothes a lot of focus goes onto easy summer wear. For me I always worry how to style summer wear as being in the UK you just never know what the weather will do. However, transforming your summer wardrobe is easier than ever. Introduce bold prints and bright colours is easier than ever.
I’m very well known for loving a print. The bolder and more colourful the print the more I fall in love with it. Scroll through my blog through the summer months and I will most certainly be rocking a bold printed shirt. Here is some proof… Check out my Outfits I’m Loving From BoohooMan post and you’ll see a palm printed shirt that I instantly fell in love with.
ASOS right now is killing it with printed shirts. The amount of bold, strong coloured and summery shirts on the site right now are amazing. Even some of them are in the sale too! Which is perfect if you’re looking for a summery bargain. I shall post some examples at the end of the blog post.
Orange You Glad It’s Summer?
While scrolling through the mass pages of ASOS summer get up gear, I came across this beautiful Orange print shirt. However, on the website I noticed this shirt wasn’t a cropped shirt. It was just a normal revere printed shirt. I fell in love instantly with this bold print. Though I did think it was lemons to start with. Ready to buy this longer version of this shirt, I spotted on the “Things you may like” bar and it was the same shirt but in a cropped version. Now, I’ve been a sucker for anything cropped at the moment so I had to buy this version because I loved it even more.
Adding that too my basket I saw these awesome retro sunglasses in yellow, which I thought would go so well with the shirt as it has flashes of yellow on it. I wasn’t wrong. The sunglasses make me feel like I’m living out my Anastasia – Paid My Dues vibes. On the other hand they’re very futuristic and almost edgy. I knew that I wanted to team this shirt with my my go to trouser. My ASOS high waisted trouser. Adding these to the outfit gives a fresh take on just a shirt and trouser. I teamed this whole look up with my chunky trainers that I always use. I love a good chunky trainer not only do they look cool but they also make me just that little bit taller.
The whole look just gives me instant holiday vibes. I wished I found this shirt before I went on holiday in May to Magaluf (which I still haven’t wrote about) As this shirt would of been perfect for the holiday vibe. Instead of the trousers I may of worn it with my dungarees or maybe some denim shorts and still keep the trustworthy chunky trainer too.
If you’re not one for bold prints and the thought of them scares the hell out of you, then maybe a bold colour would be better? A strong block colour with any outfit really makes an outfit pop. Try going for the summery colours as mentioned before such as Orange, Red, Yellow and Blue.
However if you really are scared of colour too maybe opting for a pastel colour, that way you’re still incorporating a colour to your outfit. But being pastel they aren’t as strong and overpowering. Right now there is so much colour based items that you can buy to mix and match for the perfect summer colour based outfit. Go bold, Go colourful. Just showcase your rainbow through your clothes!
