“Sparkle your way through Christmas with your party wear”
Christmas party wear is something that I love. It’s that time of year again where the sparkle and razzle-dazzle flood the high street shops. There isn’t a shop that doesn’t sell something sequinned or sparkly. Party wear is something I’ve always loved, it’s the time of year you can go really big on something and not be judged. This year I have collaborated with Boohoo Man to showcase some of their amazing party wear. – Outfit 1 – Pattern On Texture –
One of my favourite things to do is mixing up patterns and textures to create a more defined look. With Christmas comes some many different textures and patterns, it’s so much easier to mix things up. This outfit is full on Christmas. With the trousers rocking a tartan check style pattern, they are a must for any party. I love that they are a jogger style trouser too, which are super comfy and easy to wear. I also love the added zips on the side of the trousers which just it a more laid back kind of style yet still keeping them looking smart.
The knitted t-shirt I’m wearing is something I instantly fell in love with. I’m a sucker for a knitted t-shirt, even more so with this sporting detail on the sleeves. The red goes perfectly well with the red from the trousers which makes it the perfect match to wear with the trousers. The sporting detail also is followed through the T-shirt at the bottom which isn’t visible because for this look I’ve tucked it in as I felt it made the outfit look much smarter.
Furthermore, To top the whole outfit off I have my most favourite item from this whole look. The faux fur coat. I’m so in love with this jacket. One of the softest jackets I have ever come across for a faux fur jacket. It’s a little bit like a puffer jacket, without the major puffiness. The coat is the perfect length not too long or not too short. It sits just on my hips which is perfect. It’s a super cosy coat that made me feel hella fancy when I was wearing it. 10 out of 10 for trying to be classy. To pull the outfit together I wore my tasselled patent brogues to give it a smart edge to the outfit.
-Outfit 2 – Suit It Up –
Nothing says Christmas party than wearing a suit. Head to toe looking smart is one of my favourite outfits to wear to a Christmas party. So when I picked outfit number 2, I wanted to wear it 24/7. A suit that had glittery flecks within the fabric? What more is there to love?
The suit comes as separates which is really good as you can then mix them up with something different. Like the jacket with a pair of black skinny jeans for example. But for this, I wore them together. I love that the trousers have a side sparkle down the side of them which then goes with the blazer. The trousers are a slim fit but I would have loved them more if they had been a skinny fit as I’m a lover of a skinny fit.
The jacket was a perfect fit. I really love the shimmering detail that the jacket has on it. You would most certainly shimmer on the dance floor in this outfit. The jacket is lightweight which is perfect for those guys who love to bust a move on the dance floor but still when to look fly in their blazer.
The shirt underneath is a sheer striped shirt which I thought would go nicely with the blazer and trousers. However, the shirt is a little rough and it did make me itch which was such a shame because it was a beautiful shirt and most certainly something I would wear. I finished the look with a silver bow tie to pick the silver in the jacket and trousers and my Chelsea boots to finish the look off.
– Outfit 3 – Shimmering Gold –
Out of all the outfits that I picked this one was my ultimate favourite. A gold bomber jacket, with a smart matching jogger and roll neck. The shimmering gold is the perfect outfit for Christmas as it gets you into the festive spirit.
The gold bomber jacket was a perfect fit. I loved the gold detailing it showcases. When the jacket hits the light it gives off such a shimmer, which is something I’m all about.
Teaming the bomber jacket with the matching chino styled trousers was the right shout. I love a co-ord and even more so when it’s a shimmering gold co-ord. The trousers have a tie waist which again represents the jogger style it is offering.
I finished the look off with my tasselled brogue to give it a smart look once again.
Sparkle your way.
If sparkles aren’t your thing then boohoo has some amazing pieces within its party section that will cater to you. From velour to just your average suit if you don’t feel brave enough to go to the realms of shimmering or glittery. They have something for everything which I love Boohoo Man for. I most certainly will be wearing each outfit!!
