Especially with Baldur’s Gate III finally on the way, now’s the perfect time to get the brand out there. Lack of multi-player is a tad disappointing but here's hoping it really does get implemented later on. Recently I thought very often about to purchase it but I don´t have a PC anymore because my old one broke.

There’s also a Custom option for you to tailor everything to your desire, but I have always found the base class options to work perfectly enough. One day your dear Foster Father, Gorion, whisks you away in the dead of night after a brief tutorial. As for Xbox Series X/S, Larian Studios announced that it will be on Microsoft’s current-gen console, though there’s no definite date for its release. The game is as of late available on current generation consoles and PC, though not yet on Nintendo’s portable Switch.

They immediately ignore all the enemies right next to them and run back to where they were before you told them to attack. Oh, the revamping was massive from BG1 to BG2, just the interface and gameplay are like night and day (even if I loved BG1 as it was back in the day): magic takes the centre stage in the sequel and those complaints you had about the party being void if character other than being spins on archetype are solved (in a more elegant way than SoD in my opinion, which is great for a fanfiction patch with a budget but nothing compared to the original games. The combat can be enthrallingly addictive, the sense of adventure is intoxicating and the story masterfully unravels around you. You can have endless fun exploring the world and creating experiences that feel personal to you while dealing with its eclectic cast of factions and characters. Of course, the big change for these console versions is the addition of analogue controls for moving your party around, and we've been hugely impressed with what Beamdog has achieved here. The combat, too, has found a better rhythm at this stage, and you’ll no doubt have more success with your levelled-up group of warriors, with much less slapping the air in front of enemies as you take them on.

Got the EE through Steam again and played BG1 and SoD last year but lost momentum at some point with BG2 and haven’t finished it yet.
