About this deal

Another situation where more resolution comes in handy is as a 'zoom factor' either telephoto or macro work. Sure, it won't replace the quality of a longer prime, but sometimes you're in a situation where you'd like to get in 'just a little closer' and having more MP allows you to do that via a tighter crop. I might be something like 15-30% closer/larger, but sometimes that is all you need.

Panasonic Lumix S5 IIX review | Digital Camera World

And it’s not just the sensor tech that impresses. From the off, in the hand, the S5 II feels like a camera that you can trust, and forge a solid working relationship with; it feels solid and reliable, and has an intuitive control layout that's managed to feel simple and comprehensive at the same time.

Latest and greatest Canon R6II do have 17ms, and Sony a7IV has 27ms!!! This camera has a 2200mAh high-capacity battery that can capture 1,250 images or continuously record 90 minutes of 4K 60fps video on a full charge. It can be recharged via AC or USB. What is the difference between the S5 IIX and the S5 II?

Panasonic Lumix DC-S5 II / DC-S5 IIX initial review

The stabilization system also underpins the eight-shot 96MP High Resolution mode. The S5 II doesn't have the hand-held high-res mode from the GH6, and so requires a tripod or otherwise fixed camera, but it still offers a motion correction mode for preventing artifacts from moving subjects in the scene. New processor Video-vs-photo - Well yeah I am aware of the rolling shutter values of most cameras from the last five or ten years. For a full frame 6k readout, most recent cameras have been around 20ms, probably on average a range from 16-28ms, kinda like you said. They're pretty much all roughly the same (slower than what I'd want) unless you crop in. The point so far was, you are buying EXPENSIVE 35mm camera/sensor and you are DISABLED to use it fully/at maximum because of very limited or intentionally cripp-led software/hardware. You know nothing you even mention cameras that haven't released yet. And you also don't have a bunchload of cameras. The camera's battery life rating is a rather disappointing 370 shots per charge, per CIPA standard testing methods. As always, these numbers tend to significantly underestimate how many shots you can typically expect (unless your shooting style is very energy-intensive). A 370 shot-per-charge rating will typically give you plenty of charge for a day's shooting, but you'll want to keep a USB power source near to hand for intensive shoots. A power-saving mode gives a rating of 1,250 shots per charge for viewfinder shooting.

If it would be more photo process and video results, then one would have to question a photo gallery, and instead produce a gallery of video clips. And I can not understand all this cry in comments in regards to rolling shutter, as we used cameras with 2x-4x rolling shutter with great success for years. We're going to put a video out featuring the LUMIX S5II once we've been able to thoroughly test it, so make sure you're signed up to our YouTube channel! For now, take a look at all the key specifications for the two models and find out how the Lumix S5IIX differs frm the S5II. Or answer the question of how Sony will solve its stabilization problem in the future with its small mount.

Panasonic LUMIX S5 II vs S5 IIX - key differences explained

As you’d expect, the S5IIX’s screen preview matches the captured image/video well but as usual, it can be hard to see some details in bright conditions. This makes an external monitor with greater brightness and/or a hood an attractive option in some instances. More and more I read in comments that a photo centric camera needs to have more than 24 MP, such as S1R or better A7Riv/v. hahahaha, no it wont sell like hotcakes and im positive it wont. there is always hype and sales to any new camera, so I know it will sell when its new but that wont hold for a long time. it will get its burst early then poop out. AWB / AWBc / AWBw / Daylight / Cloudy / Shade / Incandescent / Flash / White Set 1, 2, 3, 4 / Color temperature setting 1, 2, 3, 4 Yes - but a cable connection is tiny, doesn't need to be a big hole - and water needs to flow upwards to enter the fan housing. How people view images has changed , it’s mostly social media or on line galleries and often hand held devices. The social media platforms bin a lot of image data to keep the file size low, so hi Rez has no benefit . I'd make noises about paying for all those video features I'd never use as a stills shooter.. but this camera is low enough in price that after having tried one, I wouldn't worry about it. Now answer the question where the S5 II lags years behind the competition, for example the A7IV! Why is this camera a joke - finally give substantive, technical reasons!!!

S5IIX Panasonic Announces Highly Anticipated LUMIX S5II and S5IIX

The Panasonic Lumix S5 II and S5 IIX seem very similar cameras. What are the differences and which is right for you? The recent A7rV samples discussion was a blооdy mess, with all sorts of nоnsense (green cast, "flatness", and whatnot), but nobody said "those Canon/Nikon/etc. users!"; people just dealt with messages at hand. Or if it is first time buy, go for the system with the lenses you need or want. Or the camera you think is best. Panasonic LUMIX S5IIX Mirrorless Camera (DC-S5M2XBODY) with LUMIX S Series 18mm F1.8 L-Mount Interchangeable Lens (S-S18) Image stabilization has been a staple strength of Lumix cameras since the release of the GH5 and the S5II X raises the bar further still with the inclusion of Active I.S.. Utilizing a combination of upgraded hardware and more intuitive algorithms, the S5IIX anticipates and counteracts the movements associated with walking and holding telephoto lenses. This delivers smoother footage when filming while walking and allows you to handhold shots with uncanny levels of stability. When combined with a compatible lens, like the Lumix S 24-105, which has stabilization built into it, the S5II X can offer up to 6.5 stops of correction.Given the number of similarities between the Lumix S5II and S5IIX, it may not be easy to choose the best camera for your needs. That is unless you specifically need streaming, SSD recording or more advanced video recording capabilities, then the choice is simple, go for the S5II X. The Lumix DC-S5 II reminds me of the lenticular prints sold in museum gift shops, which show a different image depending on the angle from which you view them. From one perspective it appears to be the two-year-old S5 with phase detection added, but looked at from a different position, its specs make it look like a credible competitor to Canon's recent EOS R6 II (which we consider to be the best of the current enthusiast full-frame bunch). Anyway, all I asked for are some more photos relating to the additional strengths and application areas. We'll have to wait and see whether we get an S1/S1R II (or S2/S2R), but this isn't it, nor is it trying to be. Like the S5IIX, the S5II can shoot internal 10-bit 4:2:2 C4K (4096×2160) 4:2:2 at up to 60p and 10-bit 200Mbps 4:2:0 6K (5952×3968) footage at up to 30p.
