About this deal

The set was provided for review by LEGO. All opinions expressed are those of the author. The Completed Model LIGHT AND SOUND FX BATTLE SIMULATION: 3 internal speakers create a surround sound experience and synchronized LED lights inside the visor simulate the blasts of enemy vehicles Here’s a look on the sides, where the Red and Yellow V symbols are prominently displayed – which I believe are killcounts, in the style of fighter pilots.

Fans of the LEGO Star Wars Helmet collection are in for a treat in 2022, with three all-new helmets to add to their collection, and in the next few days, I’ll be reviewing them all on the blog! When I first saw the helmet, and it being an open helmet, I was quite excited as I was hoping it would fit the Wooden LEGO Originals minifigure, but alas, it’s just a tad too large! It would’ve made such a brilliant accessory for it! If you’re a Star Wars fan, and looking for a great display piece that isn’t a ship, or large UCS model, I can highly recommend this set, especially if you have the other Helmets from the collection. Regardless of where your allegiance lies, whether it be with the Imperial Empire or the Rebel Alliance, there's a Lego Star Wars helmet for everyone. There's now a huge range of models available and they're usually aimed at adult or older builders and typically come in at a lower price point, which makes them ideal for display.

Summary

But the goggles look just as bad because there’s no gap for Luke’s nose! There should be a 1-2 stud transition section between the two lobes of the goggles. PREMIUM ELECTRONIC HELMET: Featuring highly-detailed deco, movie-inspired design, interior padding, lights, and sound fx, this full-scale reproduction of Luke Skywalker's iconic helmet is a great addition to any fan's collection Dark Troopers are perhaps the most fearsome-looking of all Imperial battle droids - and it's safe to say that Lego has perfectly captured that ferocity in its design of the Lego Star Wars Dark Trooper helmet. It's a little smaller than most other helmets, thanks to the shape of the Dark Trooper's armor. I’d love to know what you think of the new Luke Skywalker Red Five Helmet, and what other Rebel helmets you’d like to see Awaken your creative Force - channel Jedi-like focus and mindfulness as you build this highly detailed LEGO Star Wars Luke Skywalker (Red Five) Helmet (75327) model

More interestingly is LEGO’s first Rebel and open-face helmet – 75327 Luke Skywalker’s Helmet, which was famously featured when he flew his Red Five X-Wing in A New Hope to blow up the Death Star. The trans-orange visor looks pretty good, although the dip in the middle does look a little off, but the bright colours, and unique shaping of Luke Skywalker’s helmet is brilliant, and should provide a fun building experience. Luke Skywalker's helmet from the Battle of Yavin features vibrant colours and therefore differs from previous Helmet Collection models, so complements those helmets on display. The scale also remains consistent between them as this creation reaches 19cm in height, matching other sets. I think this scale works nicely for display, without occupying too much space. I think these 2 helmets look great, and if you own and liked the previous range of helmets, these will be great additions to the LEGO Star Wars Helmet collection. INSPIRED BY THE STAR WARS SAGA: Whether piloting an X-wing or a Snowspeeder, Luke Skywalker wore his iconic helmet into battle against the EmpireI didn’t really like the chin strap, and the microphone/communicator, as they’re quite flimsy, and I found them constantly dislodging themselves while I was handling the helmet. I actually think the helmet looks better without them. Do note that there is supposedly a third helmet on the way as well – a Dark Trooper helmet, which wasn’t part of this reveal, so keep your eyes out for that one soon. 75343 Dark Trooper Helmet – 693 pieces Special thanks to the LEGO Group for providing this set for review 75327 Luke Skywalker (Red Five) Helmet Set Details Now that we have Rebel helmets, I can’t wait to see more of these – maybe we’ll get those aerodynamic Rebel Helmets soon! The details are spot-on, and despite some minor niggles like the fidgety chin strap, this is by far one of my favourite LEGO Star Wars helmets yet, as it looks great displayed on its own, or with the other helmets in the collection.

Synchronized LED lights and 3 speakers create an immersive battle simulation experience, featuring energy blaster fire FX and communication from R2-D2.However, consulting the onscreen helmet reveals the most significant problem with this model, as the angle of the brow structure seems too steep. Its position beside the decoration on both flanks is appropriate, but the curved elements above the visor should be closer to horizontal. This problem is particularly disappointing because the helmet otherwise looks outstanding. In this section, you'll find a round-up of all Lego Star Wars helmets that have been discontinued. Lego sets don't last forever, and these have all been retired into the archives. Luke Skywalker’s Red Five Helmet is the smallest (by piece count) helmet on the wave, at only 675 pieces, and it’s not a particularly lengthy or tedious build – it took me about 2 hours of leisurely building, so it’s an ideal set to build over a lazy afternoon. It might be hard to make out, but there is also grey padding on each side of the inside of the helmet, which was a really nice touch.
