Saturday the 29th of July my best friend and I embarked on an amazing holiday to Fuerteventura. Our flight was in the afternoon so we headed to the airport pretty early to make sure we avoided any rush with it being the school holidays. Having breakfast and lunch while we waited for our flight. Once boarded the plane the 4-hour journey to Fuerteventura commenced.
Once arriving in Fuerteventura the sun hit us with its beautiful rays. Unlucky for us it was slowly starting to set and our 1 hour and a half bus journey awaited us to our hotel. Club Princess.
Sleepy and groggy from the long day travelling, we finally made it to the hotel, checked in and freshened up in our rooms. It was now pushing 10 o’clock, however, the hotel had put some food out for us as we hadn’t eaten since the plane journey here! Once we filled our boots with food and drink it was time to hit the sleep to make sure we were fresh as a daisy for what lies ahead.
Our days mainly consisted of waking up, getting ready for the day, having breakfast, going to the beach, coming back for more food and cocktails, beach, heading back for showers and then we would hit our gorgeous bar in the centre of the pool. On one of the days, we did have a pool day also, where I got my inflatable Flamingo, Farrah out. But being in the pool just didn’t cut it for us. We much preferred going to the beach and feeling the waves against us!
The beach was a perfect white sand and crystal blue water which is what you certainly want for any kind of holiday. The hotel didn’t really have anything around it. It’s very baron where we was staying so everything was a taxi ride or transfer to Jandia, the main city closest to our hotel.
We did, in fact, take a transfer to Jandia to go quad biking on Tuesday which was incredible, to see where they filmed the recent Stars Wars film. I was a tad nervous about the qaud biking. There was a safety video and then that was it. We was shoved onto a quad bike and whisked away to a baron land of the south. But after a while I relaxed and started to take videos and photographs. The holiday was a very relaxing and perfect. It was so perfect to get away and just feel the sun on my skin and just relax.
I don’t want to bore you with every detail so I’ve compiled a short snappy video to show what we got up too on our time away.
