Dumb Ass – this is a penalty space. If you land on this you can’t answer the next questions. Basically, it’s like missing a turn.

If their answer is not correct, they are out for that round. If the answer is correct, then that player wins the round. If no player can be separated as the winner, then a tie-breaker question (from the "hard ass" category) is needed to be asked.

As the game only takes 30 minutes to play, it keeps players entertained for just the right length of time. Who’s it best suited for? Similar to Shot in the Dark, Wits & Wagers levels the playing field by asking niche questions with specific answers such as “In inches, how tall is the Oscar statuette?” or “In years and days, for how long did Franklin D. Roosevelt serve as US president?” Before the answer is revealed, you bet on which guess is closest to correct. Feeling confident? Bet on yourself. Think someone else knows better? Bet on them. Points are awarded based on these bets. Wits & Wagers Win points not just by answering questions, but betting on who’s most likely to be right Then a question is being asked from that category and every player can yell out an answer at any time, but they can do this once.

How to play Smart Ass

We enjoyed the game, and there were certainly quite a few laughs as we tried desperately to guess some of the answers. Even more as we then had to google who some of the people were to help explain them to other players. Only the player that landed on the space gets to try and answer the question. If they answer the question correctly, they will roll the number die and move the corresponding number of spaces. For the first question the player landing on the Hard Ass space has to correctly answer that Mr. Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa. If they answer correctly they will get to roll the number die and move the corresponding number of spaces.
