About this deal

They are considered the foremost progenitors of hardcore rap and one of the most influential hip hop groups in history.

It marked Mobb Deep's transition from a relatively unknown Rap duo to an influential and commercially successful one. Unit 4 - Carberry Court 28 Queen Elizabeth Avenue, Hillington Park, Glasgow, United Kingdom, G52 4NQ.the tracks “the start of your ending” “survival of the fittest” “eye for an eye” “up north trip” “temperatures rising” “shook ones pt 2”all sound so amazing on it.

Juvenile Hellis an early storyboard depicting two street musicians who worked in tandem to speak their mind and relate their surroundings to the world. One of the cornerstones of the New York hardcore movement, 'The Infamous' is Mobb Deep's masterpiece, a relentlessly bleak song cycle that's been hailed by hardcore Rap fans as one of the most realistic gangsta albums ever recorded. Raw, unrelenting, and overtly-confident, Juvenile Hell was the infant stages of what would be defined as the Queensbridge Sound—grimy street narratives over cold, sonorous production underpinned with bravado and melancholy. One thing to be clear and careful about is that the photo shown is for the album that came out after the one listed. Review: Gamm has become known for its edits of disco, house and jazz classics but back in the day it used to drop red hot hip hop reworks of golden era sounds. After getting back into vinyl last year this was one of my important albums to own as I've had this on cassette and cd. The product of an uncommon artistic vision, The Infamous stands as an all-time gangsta/hardcore classic.

Still so much to discover in those lyrics and still adaptable in my 42 yr old life as it was when I was 14. The kings of the East Coast sound had a perfect blend of dark soul, low swung swing and all pervading menace as well, of course, as some super hard bars. Originally named Poetical Prophets, Havoc and Prodigy turned heads in 1991 through magazine's now legendary "Unsigned Hype" column. An accurate description, for their music is more than just guns and herb smoking, it taps into the collective sense of fear and horror, the evil in men's hearts, and the struggle for good in the gardens of waste.Ffs it should sound like that, me going from the CD version, listening to tapes on my headphones going to school and skateboarding to these non replaceable anthems implemented in my brain. Review: Easily riding the hypewave of their infamous album The Infamous, Mobb Deep (Prodogy and Havoc) released the almost hilariously identical follow-up album 'Infamy', still to critical acclaim, on December 11th 2001. The duo, well-known for their lethal realism both in their infinitely dark yet moving beats and their stark and ruthless crime-rhyme lyrics, continued their grim odyssey with this, their fourth effort.

As a production unit and a rap troupe, the pair displayed know-how and insight well beyond their years, making it easy to forget that both Havoc and Prodigy were in their late teens in 1993 when Juvenile Hell was released. With Havoc handling production on all but 3 cuts and only two guest appearances (one being from long-time Queensbridge associate Big Noyd) Free Agents is uncut, undiluted Mobb Deep all the way through.

Juvenile Hell remains is an enduring Queensbridge debut made by young minds in lockstep that proved influential for decades thereafter. Prodigy and Havoc rip every track with quotable lines that still turn up in Hip Hop records to this day. Originals with the artwork go for a pretty penny so you have to decide if that's truly that important or whether having the music is.
