About this deal

It’s a testament to how much HDR capability can improve in a mere year, and also to what Hisense has achieved with its first Roku TV for the UK. If you want to use it as a PC monitor and want the lowest input lag possible, you just need to enable Game Mode. The Hisense gets brighter, does a better job at upscaling lower-resolution content, and has a quicker response time. It's sold under different model names at various retailers, which are listed below, but we don't know for sure how those models perform.

To try to better understand how long a TV should last, we're running 100 TVs through an accelerated longevity test for the next two years. The iOS and Android app, on the other hand, is comprehensive, stable and about as stylish as these things ever get. The U6N, U7N, and U8N all feature Mini LED backlights, and they advertise their flagship U8N to reach over 3,000 cd/m² with double the dimming zones compared to last year's Hisense U8K. Argos Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority as a credit broker (713206), and works exclusively with the lender, Home Retail Group Card Services Limited trading as Argos Card and Argos Financial Services, who are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority to provide credit (716148).

Designed to fit comfortably in your hand, the simple remote has everything you need to control your TV, including one-touch access to Freeview Play and popular channels like Netflix. Yes, the backlighting makes the chassis bulge somewhat and no, there’s no dynamic metadata HDR here – but despite this, and the asthmatic nature of the TV’s sound, there’s an awful lot of value on display. However, because there are so many rows, it can feel overwhelming, and it may take some time to fully navigate the interface if you're not used to it. We’ve seen plenty of Hisense TVs in the UK, but this is the first one to feature the Roku TV operating system, found on Roku-made streamers and a smattering of TVs in various territories.

It’s not the flashiest smart TV platform out there – that accolade probably goes to the excellent webOS on LG TVs – but it is reliable, well-organised, and easy to navigate, which isn’t something that can be said for every platform. An extension lead does not always supply the TV with sufficient power, so the TV may not be able to turn on fully if connected this way.It has Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support, as well as advanced DTS audio format support, but its low-quality content smoothing is poor, so it isn't as good for a home entertainment center as the higher-end models. It has good reflection handling, but it's best to avoid using it in well-lit rooms as it doesn't get bright enough to combat glare. Hold down the manual button on the unit for 30 seconds (if unsure of location please refer to the user manual). It's also an excellent TV for gaming due to its very good motion handling, so there's very little blur behind fast-moving objects.

Acceptable condition - Scratches visible when holding the device 30 centimeters away and perceptible to the touch. Hisense has announced an impressive lineup for 2024, with noticeable improvements to the entire ULED lineup and a few new surprises. However, the image is inaccurate as increasing Contrast makes the image too blue, as seen in this color gamut photo. For the most part, Hisense uses Google TV as their smart platform in North America, but there are a handful of models with Roku TV instead, and they've even started selling some with Fire TV.It stays low as long as you have Game Mode enabled, but it significantly increases with a 1440p resolution, so it's not ideal for 1440p games with the Xbox One Series X. If this has not resolved the issue, please contact the manufacturer using the details on the right hand side of this page. The TV and Guide buttons are only useful if you’re set up with live TV, with the Home button (sporting a small house icon) taking you straight to your list of streaming apps. Stream Disney++ on your Hisense Roku TV and discover the best stories from Disney++, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic in one place. Enjoy every detail in stunning 4K HDR offering four times more pixels than Full HD, whilst DTS Studio Sound delivers the ultimate audio experience with enhanced bass and clearer vocals.

HDR10 - makes whites brighter, intensifies colour and enhances the overall picture for an epic cinematic effect. They've recently started to add gaming features like variable refresh rate (VRR) support, so they compete with some other brands. These TVs offer stunning 4K Ultra HD resolution (3840x2160) and come with a range of features such as True HDMI and USB connectivity, Smart TV capabilities, and HDR support. However, it has narrow viewing angles, and the image may look washed out at the sides if you sit too close. The plastic casing looks and feels rather cheap, which is to be expected with such an affordable TV.

The stand design, MSRP, and release date are still being finalized, but we'll update this when we know more. Only periodic struggles with motion-tracking, and pretty much constant sonic toil, lets the side down. It handles even complex patterns without too many alarms, and keeps picture noise to a bare minimum. So it seems obvious that it will look its best when served some native 4K content to display – and that holds true here. And you should keep in mind that the upscaling from HD only does so much here – meaning that picture quality on the larger sizes of the Hisense Roku may not hold up as well as on this 50-inch model.
