An sich kann die Geschichte mit dem Ende von Band 1 auch als abgeschlossen angesehen werden, was es für mich glaube ich auch ist, denn ich werde die Erlebnisse von Mia in den Chroniken von Lunis wohl eher nicht weiterverfolgen.The dialogues and relationships between different characters, species and factions definitely are the strong suit of this book, while the plot sometimes felt a bit hammered into shape. You guys are such a force for good and I am a passionate supporter of Indie booksellers, so I'm so happy this worked out well (I'd love to know how many books were sold if you have it to hand - it felt like quite a lot! Da es noch zwei weitere Bände um die gleichbleibenden Charaktere geben wird, ist viel Potential für Charakterentwicklungen möglich, dennoch hätte ich schon gerne im ersten Band ein bisschen mehr davon gehabt. Im Ganzen konnte mich keiner der Charaktere – egal ob Hauptcharakter oder Nebencharakter – so wirklich von sich überzeugen.

So if adults want to get young gamers reading this is the book to go for, and the good news is this is the first in a series so has the potential to really hook readers in!Only problem is that I could not wait until Christmas as I have already given it to her, and she is half way through reading it and thoroughly enjoying the same. Insgesamt hat mich Janelle McCurdy mit ihrem Reihenauftakt „Die Chroniken von Lunis – Wächterin des Lichts“ gut unterhalten. Mia ist eine Interessante Protagonistin, und obwohl sie ein Teenager ist, hat mich ihr Verhalten als erwachsene Leserin nicht genervt, was meistens bei jugendlichen Charakteren der Fall ist.
