This is essential as you will need to make sure that you can place your charging station somewhere that the mower will easily be able to return to it. Having a longer length cable opens up your options significantly. Let’s face it, robot lawn mowers are costly, and the last thing you want is for it to get stolen! But if you’re out at work or relaxing inside during the day, you want to be sure a passer-by isn’t going to help themselves to your new tool. The 3000 that I tested is capable of dealing with medium to large gardens, whilst the 5000 can cut over an acre! One of the things that impressed me about the LawnMaster L10 was that you have several easy to adjust options when it comes to how long the device will mow for each day. The maximum is ten hours which is plenty even for larger lawns, but you can also set it to run for four, six or eight hours according to your lawn needs. For smaller gardens that don’t need as much maintenance, there’s even an option to run it every other day, so it’s pretty versatile. As I was only testing this robotic mower on half of my 80m² lawn, I set the operation time to 4 hours on alternate days. Setting the operation time is simply a case of entering your PIN and pressing one of the 4 buttons. Use a longer three second press of the button to enable the alternate day mowing.
Even that has not going smoothly. They gave me s number which was not correct for DPD to turn up and collect the machine and a time slot. DPD did not turn up.

What’s more, the LawnMaster L10 also comes with a random cutting pattern and is suitable for lawns up to 400 square metres. Take a look at my video where you will see the half of the lawn that is mulched is so much greener and healthier than the half that is cut and collected with a traditional mower. While there are more sophisticated robot lawn mowers like the WORX range, for example, the LawnMaster L10 is a simplistic version that still does an amazing job of cutting the lawn! I ran the two side by side on my own lawn and the results were very similar. So if it’s simplicity you’re after then I’d say go for the LawnMaster L10, without a doubt. There’s a number of benefits of a robot lawn mower. The first and most obvious reason why so many people are investing in robot lawn mowers is because they are more convenient. They don’t cut into your free time, operating at night or while you are at work. Once they’ve been set up, you can usually just leave them to do their job! All you need to do is charge the battery (using the fast 1 hour charger provided), and put the mower on the lawn once or twice a week during the day time. It can only be used on dry days, and it does need to be manually placed on the lawn, but once down it’ll mow in a random pattern for up to 4 hours, until the entire lawn has been mowed. For a neater finish, use the spot cut function on any uncut grass.
It’s weatherproof and capable of mowing in both sunshine and rain, while it can be cleaned using a garden hose. The cutting heights can be adjusted from 20 to 50 mm, and it runs at just 57 dB, so it’ll mow overnight without disturbing anyone. Connecting up the boundary wire is simple too. The two ends of the wire need to first be stripped and, unlike the other robotic lawnmowers that I tested, this one actually comes with a wire stripper. The ends can then be inserted into their corresponding terminals.

Safety components should also be considered. Those with pets or young children are right to be concerned about the safety of robot lawn mowers, as those blades are seriously sharp! They’re great fun. Though not a practical element to consider, My Robot Mower explains that it provides a great conversation topic and the free time provides “a continued sense of satisfaction.” Cons:
