About this deal

The wire mesh structure of a Temporary Fencing Panel is cleverly designed to withstand the effects of high winds and storms. Temporary Fencing panels may be susceptible to wind force, which can sometimes shift or push them over. Gaps in the mesh allow air to pass through the Temporary Fencing instead of hitting a solid barrier, which may cause structural problems. Temporary Fencing offers great versatility and can be used again and again. There are many different Temporary Fence Panels to choose from which are suitable for different locations and situations. Industry-standard temporary fencing is typically 3.5m wide and 2m tall, comprising of a frame made from a bent steel tube, covered with steel wire mesh, welded together. Often temporary fencing panels also feature reinforced steel corner gussets for extra strength. Frames may also comprise of 4 separate tubes welded together to create a rectangular temporary fencing frame. Types of Temporary Fencing Panel Round-Top This type of temporary fencing panel is usually the most economical, comprising of four steel tubes welded together, each corner is a 90-degree angle, hence the name “square-top”. Ex-Hire Ex-Hire - These second-hand panels are available at a lower price. They may contain aesthetic damage but they still offer a great deal of strength and durability. Technology SmartWeld 100

The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) explains how the public should be protected against harm in its HSG-151 Protecting the Public Guidelines. The guidelines state that a 2m high fence which is made from a range of materials, (including metal mesh) is a suitable solution for perimeter protection. Fences should be difficult to climb and, so the HSE recommends using a close mesh which prevents children getting their hands and feet through so no one can gain handholds or footholds. Our temporary Heras fencing measures over 2m tall, is anti-climb and resistant to high winds.

Heras’ is the company most famous for manufacturing large metal mesh temporary fencing panels in the UK, hence the terms’ Heras Fencing’ and ‘Heras Fence Panels’. Round-top temporary fencing is the most popular type of temporary fencing panel. The terminology describes a panel frame that has been bent to create a shape with radial curved top-corners. Standard or Square-Top

Adding weighted ballast to the feet of temporary fencing has proved a popular method of adding stability to fencing. Sometimes bags of sand are used for this purpose, though we wouldn’t recommend this, as the bags can split causing sand to spill and the ballast to be ineffective. We have developed several weighted ballast options, purpose-built for temporary fencing including our BraceBlok™ and SoloBlok™ products. Wind Load Calculations Our family-run business provides an exceptional service for your barrier, fencing and branding needs. Heras Fence Panels Delivery Information We designed our Heras fence covers to fit a standard-sized Heras fencing panel using plastic cable ties to secure. Unlike standard unbranded Heras fencing mesh debris netting, these can be used to advertise, provide information about the project or provide vital health and safety information. Standard Heras fence covers This type of mesh features wider apertures, which is consequently easier for hands to grip and climb the fencing. This type of mesh is not recommended for a multitude of applications. Temporary Fencing Materials & Powder Coating All our Temporary Fence Panels have been manufactured with SmartWeld 100 technology. Using this technique means that panel joints are up to 70% stronger than if they were made using the traditional MIG welding technique. On a standard MIG welded panel, wire infill bars are only welded at certain points, whereas with our panels every wire is welded to the outer frame of the Temporary Fencing Panel. These wires are also tensioned when they are fixed to the frame; preventing the mesh from sagging and ensuring a much more rigid structure. The EssentialsAs standard, temporary fencing is manufactured from galvanised steel tubes and steel mesh. The galvanising process minimises the likelihood of rusting ensuring that the fencing panels last for longer and are less susceptible to weather damage. Many bracing accessories are available with temporary fencing systems to add extra stability to the fence line. Most commonly, struts or braces are installed to the fencing panels which are generally galvanised steel tubes in various shapes which can be hammered into soft ground or have weighted ballast added to them to provide extra stability.
