With Autumn and winter fast approaching, retailers have already started to put out their Autumn and Winter stock which is uber depressing when we haven’t really had much of a summer! However with it just around the corner I thought I’d show you guys what’s up and coming in my favourite shops…
ASOS have taken aspects from a digital world to create their Autumn and Winter collection. Taking elements from the sporty aesthetic and combining it with digital motifs to create a new style. Using over sized elements to create a new silhouette for guys to wear, combining over sized coats with skinny joggers is using the sport aesthetic to its full potential. I really love all the digital motifs among the collection aswell as the good use of the bold stripe and my favourite the grid print.
Topman style always is better in Autumn and Winter than in the summer. This season has really stepped up the mark. With its modern take on the 70’s vibe we saw in the summer. The silhouette of some of the cuts are very feminine which is another reason I love Topman they are always trying to push out of the box of “Men’s clothes”.I love the colour pallet they have chosen in this collection. Keeping it simple with monochrome with hints of rusts, red, blues and fur. The collection screams 70’s with its wider fit jeans and sheepskin coats. I’m really looking forward to seeing this collection in stores.
River Island’s collection has also gone down the monochrome with splashes of colour route. Using structured pieces but also adding the feminine touch with the likes of the first picture with the cape. The window pane pattern seems to be making it’s come back again which is something I really love. The windowpane coat is going to be a must for me, I’ve always wanted a coat just like that. River Island is always good for winter coats they always have a good selection of Parka coats and this year looks like no exception.
Zara’s Autumn and Winter collection is the best I’ve ever seen them do. All of their Autumnal colours are stunning with the dark mustard, deep reds and rust. The elements of the different textures is what I really love, the suede is my favourite. Combining this with the different silhouettes to create a unique sense of style. I love all of the cropped trousers with the woolly socks and brogues to create a different take on a classic style. I love the long silhouettes on the coats which for someone a little shorter than the average guy is perfect as they will come up longer. Styled with a chunky roll neck and slim or skinny fitting trousers is the perfect Autumn or Winter outfit.
