About this deal

It was very interesting to see how true to the first books of The Sandman it was, and they were very true, down to the story, characters and also a lot of lines of dialogue. He has acted as a judge for the Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards, the Harvey Awards, and the Stan Lee Awards.

Each series is set after the conclusion of the original comic, exploring the long-term ramifications of the ending, and deal with the fallout of Dream's sudden disappearance from The Dreaming in the opening chapter. The other Endless are Destiny, Death, Desire, Despair, Delirium (formerly Delight), and Destruction (also known as 'The Prodigal'). Although there were stories I liked more and stories I liked less I had an amazing time reading this very dark and thought provoking collection. Neil Gaiman is theNew York Timesbestselling author of the Newbery Medal-winningThe Graveyard BookandCoraline, the basis for the hit movie. For non-comic readers, it is recommended that you decide on a format/edition and stick with it to avoid confusion as different editions cover varying amounts of content per volume.

Finally, anyone curious what becomes of Lucifer Morningstar after the conclusion of The Sandman should definitely read Mike Carey's Lucifer. Jack Thorne has been set to script Sandman at Warner Bros based on the pitch that David Goyer made for his treatment for the Neil Gaiman comic book classic. He is the author of the book Modern: Masters Cliff Chiang, co-authored Art of Spider-Man Classic, and contributed to Dark Horse/Bedside Press' anthology Pros and (Comic) Cons.

Equally important is The Sandman Overture, a direct prequel to the main series that might as well be labeled Vol. Dave McKean's covers use techniques such as painting, sculpture, photography, drawing, and computer manipulation. Critic Marc Buxton described the book as a "masterful tale that created a movement of mature dark fantasy" which was largely unseen in previous fantasy works before it. As the series increased in popularity, DC Comics began to reprint them in hardcover and trade paperback editions, each representing either a complete novel or a collection of related short stories. The series has exerted considerable influence over the fantasy genre and graphic novel medium since its publication and is often regarded as one of the greatest graphic novels of all time.
