It all began in the summer of 2015 when founder, Kris Hindley and his wife were enjoying the Cornish sunshine at a bar on Fistral Beach, sipping gin and tonic and loving life. I wanna kind of say, maybe a bit of clove, bit of cinnamon, or something like that, maybe even ginger. That right there is Kris on his paddleboard, while on holiday in Cornwall, it's on the River Gannel, which is, it's Crantock, just south of the Fistral, literally the next bay round from the Fistral in Newquay, and that's where the inspiration came from. So all’s Kris will do with this, he'll ship the Guyanese Rum back over to the UK, and then it'll get flavoured up with passionfruit, with mango, with elderflower. Tall glass, loads of ice, chilled tonic water, that is just amazing, tiny touch bitter quinine going on there, balances out the kind of big, bold, fruity, tropical notes, rum and tonic, if that is your thing, try that tonic water out.At that moment they had an epiphany (now commonly known as a "GinTing Moment") - they had sampled many variations of Gin over the years, different flavors, mixers, and garnishes but they felt the core essence of what's amazing about this simple and refreshing drink had been lost. Made with the company’s premium rum from Guyana, and then infused with the same fruity flavours as GinTing , passion fruit, mango, and elderflower, RumTing is bursting with vibrant character. Berries, Berries, Berries, the first gin that they've released was exactly the same flavour as this.

I can tell straightaway, that's gonna be amazing for some of the cocktails I've got in mind to show you in a bit.And the taste, the strength of the rum comes through, it's a lovely, kind of reminds me of fruit salads. More than suitable for enjoying with a delicious fruit juice, a good tonic, or some sort of tasty cola. Now a master of his own paddleboard, Kris’ journey is guided by a simple ethos… start heading for a horizon you like the look of, rather than the places you know too well.
