The normal switch housing directs RGB lighting directly into your eyes, while the milk switches give it a less intense feel. The overall sound and feel of Milk switches are the same except the color of the housing is different. Gateron Ink Switches COLOR THE BAD POINTS: This is where this switch loses a lot of points. It’s a linear switch after all. Sound definitely wasn’t the main focus when designing this switch, but that’s not why you buy it anyway. Typing Performance: 6/10 The Gateron Yellow switch. Similar to the Red linear Gateron switch, the Yellow requires slightly lighter pressure at 5g more actuation force of 50g. Also a fast response and quiet switch without a tactile bump suitable for gaming. THE GOOD POINTS: It’s almost as this is an upgrade from a Cherry MX Red or from any lighter, scratchier linear switch. In fact, I preferred to use these whilst gaming compared to any other switch made by Cherry. THE GOOD POINTS: If you find other linear switches to be too light to actuate and/or you make typos with those, then this may be for you.

Kailhs are one of the best clone switches available on the market. This brand features a unique style of switches well-adapted from the Cherry series. A great line of switches here includes the Box and Speed switches. Gateron low profile switches have a completely different design than a normal switch. Gateron low-profile switches have a different shaped stem and a much short actuation and travel distance. Overall, we think Gaterons are slightly ahead. Wrapping Up That being said, the difference in actuation force is more than enough to cause both of these switches to sound and feel quite different from one another.
