Perhaps Mofi were going for maximum detail, definition and separation, but it comes at the expense of musicality and warmth despite the low bass being very present and well resolved. I also noticed the forward brightness, makes the upper bass/low midrange region sound pinched. I’m not sure what KW was thinking. Maybe an analytical and more modern sounding remaster? It certainly sounds it! On a more positive note, it was quiet and the dynamics are very good.
