About this deal

The Brass Orb – Hilarious, and a classic Skaven artefact. Once per game you can hurl the Brass Orb at an enemy within 6” at the start of your hero phase. On a 3+ you remove the unit, then at the end of the turn set them up again wholly within their own territory and more than 9” from your units. The FAQ has confirmed that if there’s no legal place to play that model, it’s destroyed. An extremely funny and ignoble end to the Shadow Queen if you can pull it off. The range and the timing of this mean that pulling it off is largely within your opponent’s control (or banking on a double to engineer it), willingly entering the threat range of the Orb. Unfortunately, the Skaven doesn’t grab a great box. While the minis inside are useful, this is one of the lowest values we’ve seen in a while. Still, if you need all of the minis inside, it’s still cheaper than buying them on their own, and you basically get the Clanrats for free. Vanguard: Nighthaunt Clans Skryre weapon teams are vital to protecting these large, key units. An opponent might want to charge those 60 Clanrats with something like Witch Aelves , but if there’s a Warpfire Thrower sitting just behind them, the prospect of a lot of mortal wounds from Unleash Hell before they get to fight might just make them think twice. Honestly, this is on the lower end of the value we’ve seen for Vanguard boxes. However, if you need every miniature inside, you basically get the Warriors for free. If you don’t plan on using everything in the box, you don’t save any cash.

Beyond this, Stormfeinds have enough melee power to take care of themselves if charged by anything but the biggest melee threats (and that’s after they get a horrific unleash hell) and a big chunk of wounds that makes them unusually difficult to remove for a Skaven unit. If you’re running a unit of 6, you will have to take 20 damage to remove the first gun from the unit. The ratmen use a steady stream of fodder to fight their wars and excel at constantly expanding their territory through sheer weight of numbers. When the time comes to strike, the skaven burst from tunnels through reality in seething tides. They utilize everything from peculiar devices, filthy magics, virulent toxins, mutated beasts, and even the daemonic avatars of the Horned Rat to tear down the works of civilisation. Their strength is in their nearly limitless supply of warriors and the accumulation of vast hordes of warpstone – solidified crystals of raw Chaos energy – to power both their sorcery and their technology. Scoring – Unless you specifically build for it, Skaven can struggle into the tighter scoring of Gallet. The castle builds often start off slow and score later in the game. Contents: 1 x Plague Priest Plague Furnace (Hero) / Grey Seer on Screaming Bell (Hero), 1 x Plagueclaw / Warp Lightning Cannon (Artillery), and 20 x Plague Monks (Battleline in a pure Pestilens army)

Recommended: Movement Trays for 25mm Bases

We have all the up-to-date values and pricing for the lineup of Combat Patrol, Battleforces, and Vanguard boxes for Warhammer 40k and Age of Sigmar now that the Games Workshop price increases have hit to help you save those hobby dollars! Idoneth Deepkin are one of the newer factions to AoS 2.0. If you were wanting to start playing a new army with some updated rules, this Start Collecting is a great place (and deal) to begin! Where to Go After Carrion Empire if you then take the contagion banner once per battle you can use its power to make it so that wound rolls cause a mortal wound in addition to its normal damage. (Combine that with the plague furnace re roll wound rolls prayer) Finally the bale chime gives your wound rolls of 6, a -1 rend. The foot Grey Seer is brilliant. They’re bargain basement cost for a two-cast wizard and on top of that the unit gets to copy Thanquol’s warpstone chewing ability for a 3d6-drop-one cast. The warscroll spell is fine, CV7 for a 13” range spell that does d3 mortal wounds and inflicts -1 to hit in melee if you can beat the target unit’s wounds characteristic on 2d6. Grey Seer on Screaming Bell

Skryre’s-breath Bellows– Start of any/each hero phase the bearer can use the relic and roll a dice for each enemy unit within 3” of it, on a 4+ the unit suffers D3 mortal wounds. Unfortunately this does also hit friendly units, so probably not worth killing your own models to maybe kill an enemy or two. C Undulant Scourge – The nearest enemy unit within 13” gets hit and you roll 1 dice for each model in that unit, for each 5+ rolled the unit suffers D3 mortal wounds. The End Times saw the end of the old world, yet some seeds remained. As the World-That-Was splintered into void and different realms, the Skaven persisted, able to tunnel through the void much as they once did through the ground. Their god scattered them throughout the Mortal Realms as the realms became reborn, setting them the task of multiplying and conquering in his name. Diabolical Schemer – When a model issues a command within 13” of your general then on a 5+ that command isn’t received, the command point is lost and you gain a command point. It’s a huge effect when it happens, but the model issuing the command having to be so close and the dice roll can make it difficult to use and then unlikely even when the situation occurs. Skaven aren’t just renowned for their teeming hordes, they’re a cunning race, as inventive as they are vile. This leads them to have a certain mad-scientist outlook, which is amply reflected in their Warpstone-powered creations.Vial of the Fulminator– In any hero phase choose a Skryre War Machine within 3” and double that unit’s move characteristic for the turn, at the end of the phase on a 4+ it suffers D3 mortal wounds. Useful to make a Doom Wheel really cross the field averaging then a 28” move at the expense of maybe losing some wounds. C Contents: 1 Mighty Lord of Khorne (Hero), 1 Bloodsecrator (Hero), 1 Bloodstoker (Hero), 1 Khorgorath, 5 x Blood Warriors (Battleline) and 10 x Bloodreavers (Battleline) Paul: The Verminlord Warpseer has long been a mainstay of skaven lists. With all the new uses for command points, The Great Manipulators ability really shines, giving you more command points to use across your entire army. Expand the dread territory of the Soulblight Dynasties with a vanguard box containing 29 miniatures. This bite-sized battalion is led by a vainglorious Vampire Lord, 20 Deathrattle Skeletons, five Blood Knights, and three monstrous Vargheists.
