About this deal

I’ve seen some of the players use the attention to their advantage, making me scoff every single time they convince some poor victim to help them with homework or papers or buy them something here at Bea’s. It was too complicated to try to explain it, so it will be better to just jumb into this story without many informations about it... Through the course of these two books, I fell so hard for Raine and Caleb and I really need to know their story in as much detail as possible. That epilogue broke me just a little. Also, Olive was such an incredible supporting character and I can’t wait to read her book next, because she was such a ray of sunshine through this story.

Book Genre: Academic, College, Contemporary, Contemporary Romance, Dark, Football, New Adult, Romance, Sports, Sports Romance, Young Adult i cannot stress enough how amazing this was. i could not put it down! childhood friends (to enemies ish) to lovers is one of my all time favorite tropes and this was done absolutely perfectly. Aiden was having big dreams and he was working very hard to achive his goals, but he couldn't lose Ivy for a second time... The book starts with Skylar succumbing to peer pressure and going to a party, drinking too much and waking up the next day in someone's bed and not remembering anything but it's obvious she lost her virginity. The party was at the fooball team's house so DJ and Aiden (from the first book) witness her walk of shame.

About ‘Dare You to Trust Me’ by B. Celeste

It’s something I have to deal with every time she complains about things like her mother refusing to extend her curfew, let her date, or wear certain types of clothing when she’s out. Her nose always crinkles when I say, “I don’t see why you’re so upset. Your mother loves you. That’s why she’s hard on you.” I do better when people aren’t looking out for me because there’s nobody to disappoint when things go south." We also take Dragon Dollars,” I say, cutting him off, gesturing toward the new promotion. Any college student who comes in can pay by scanning their student ID card. I was pretty excited to start this. It was a childhood best friends to lovers (which I love!) but also with the separation, the heroine and hero would have to learn to be friends again, so I was really interested in this. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. This was just boring. It felt so repetitive. And I did not have any interest in the two main characters or the romance between them.

Now into the hero. I loved how sweet, caring, and considerate Aiden was. I'm really surprised of his devotion with Ivy. He waited for her, literally and figuratively. He wasn't your typical controlling, annoying, arrogant, self-proclaimed manwhore, football player. He was something else. Something worthy of my respect and adoration. Now for the male main character, Aiden, he’s a star football player and really is the main driver of this being a sports romance rather than a contemporary romance or new adult. Skylar was a shy person when she entered the freshman year of college. And it didn't start out well for her. She struggled to make friends and one traumatic experience led her to not trust anyone. Then comes Danny, my love, he tries to help her and helps her learn how to trust others. Ivy,” he repeats, and I wonder if he can hear how hard my heart thumps with the sound of my name coming from his lips again. DJ's story is here! You met him in Dare You to Hate Me and now Lindon's wide receiver gets his own time to shine in this friends with benefits slash friends to lovers standalone new adult romance.Lena is sweet enough. A little too talkative and bubbly for my liking, especially first thing in the morning, but I’ve worked with worse—spoiled teenage brats and older people who are asses. My biggest problem with the social butterfly is how much she reminds me of what could have been before I messed everything up. It’s not her fault that her tender age and obvious naivete trigger something dark inside me that I prefer to bottle up. Be calm! I entreat you to hear me before you give vent to your hatred on my devoted head. Have I not suffered enough, that you seek to increase my misery? Life, although it may only be an accumulation of anguish, is dear to me, and I will defend it. Remember, thou hast made me more powerful than thyself; my height is superior to thine, my joints more supple. But I will not be tempted to set myself in opposition to thee. I am thy creature, and I will be even mild and docile to my natural lord and king if thou wilt also perform thy part, the which thou owest me. Oh, Frankenstein, be not equitable to every other and trample upon me alone, to whom thy justice, and even thy clemency and affection, is most due. Remember that I am thy creature; I ought to be thy Adam, but I am rather the fallen angel, whom thou drivest from joy for no misdeed. Everywhere I see bliss, from which I alone am irrevocably excluded. I was benevolent and good; misery made me a fiend. Make me happy, and I shall again be virtuous." Skylar’s freshman year in college isn’t going as expected. After experiencing a traumatic event that leaves her with many questions, she is feeling wary of those around her. So what happens when the school’s beloved wide receiver shows interest…in being her friend? I take her hand and squeeze it ... "You can’t always be the punching bag so others miss the hits, and that’s what you were.”

B. Celeste is a brilliant storyteller who writes romances full of raw, real and emotional moments that captivate her readers wholeheartedly as they inhale the words of her epic love stories. She has truly become an influential voice when it comes to sensitive topics, turning what could have been a traditional sports romance into something so much more meaningful. She writes in a way that makes you feel as if she is stripping away layers of your soul, leaving it bare and exposed to the emotional impact that she is trying to portray through her characters and unique storytelling. As with all of B. Celeste's books, this book didn't disappoint. It was funnier and more entertaining than other books I read by this author, but still managed to delivered a great emotional punch. Speaking of the heroine -- the author really poured on the angst and hardships. Beware there are some possible triggers. Self-cutting and a suicide attempt are at the top of the list. This poor girl has been through some rough and tough times in her short life. I was teary-eyed and furious throughout three-fourths of the story. But she shows strength and pushes herself for achieving a much better life. Just when she thinks she's about to drown in the foggy memories of her night spent partying at the football house, Daniel Bridges walks into her life. Lindon University's wide receiver. A total flirt. And a total threat. With rumors of him being drafted to the NFL coming to fruition, I know it’s only a matter of time before we have to say goodbye again.⁣

Four years has molded who I am, what I believe in, and how I view the world. So why hasn't it changed how I feel about the boy who used to be my best friend?"

MINOR SPOILERS : I PROBABLY ACCIDENTALLY SAID SOME REALLY MINOR SPOILERS BUT IT SHOULD BE FINE.. I THINK !! A new set of eyes focuses on my face, but I busy myself by spreading the olive oil and sea salt butter he likes over his bagel. “Ivyprofen?” There’s amusement in his tone, but he doesn’t let either of us explain that Elena calls me that because she says I’m a pain and she needs medicine after dealing with me. Instead, he proceeds to ask, “Not a fan of football, huh?” she tends to also put herself down a lot which is a bad thing ofc but i think at some point in the book i started wondering if she even wanted help at all?? she kept on kinda falling in on herself that helping her didnt really seem to help.. if that made sense From the fan-favorite author of Underneath the Sycamore Tree comes the first in a raw, real romance series following the lives of the Lindon U football players and the complicated girls who change their lives forever. Your usual?” I greet him, careful to keep my tone even despite the way my skin tingles as he towers over the register.Dare You To Hate Me was an emotional journey through my own self-reflection with issues I’ve dealt with in the past and an amazingly well written story about the lives of Ivy and Aiden and everyone else in their lives. I’m not even sure where to start as this story was complex and emotional in so many ways that I needed to take some time to reflect on what I had read. I actually finished it almost a week ago and am just now sitting down to try and capture all my thoughts. Skylar is a freshman in Lindon U and her year starts with a BANG!! She then meets DJ (a.k.a Danny) who is on the football team, but he seems fascinated by the way she acts simply because she is different then everyone. i think he’s a pretty basic male main character. theres nothing amazin about him and theres nothing particularly bad about him either. he’s kinda just… bland. What I didn’t expect was how defined his jaw became, slightly squared and clean of any scruff most of the time, a patrician nose free from any breaks despite his aggressive sport, and a set of lips that are enviously fuller than mine. This is…it’s a lifetime of battles ahead of me, and I don’t want to make anyone suffer by watching me figure out if I want to live or die when it all becomes too much."
