About this deal

Logitech has crafted some seriously superior-sounding speakers for the PC that aren’t quite as robust as they could be from a lighting perspective. For a rather steep price, however, what you will get here are speakers that will undoubtedly bring flash and fun to your PC gaming setup. Fabric mesh grilles are wrapped around the speakers’ 2.5-inch (63.5mm) drivers, but not the 6.5-inch (165mm) subwoofer driver. The Logitech G560 are designed to be the dream set of gaming speakers, offering a compact design, powerful sound, and RGB lighting that reacts to in-game events.

mouse mats, the Logitech G560 boasts an array of RGB lights that provide intelligent ambient lighting when you’re playing games, watching movies and listening to music. How to make your G560 Speakers sound awesome and fix all sound related issues - Updated method for 2021 https://www.reddit.com/r/LogitechG/comments/r2nlxy/how_to_make_your_g560_speakers_sound_awesome_and/ My biggest complaint is that all of this can be quite distracting, and while photographs and YouTube videos will make it look incredible, in practical terms, it isn’t quite where I’d like it be to be.The end result is relatively subdued and classy. Not too much, not too little, and it can all be controlled via Logitech’s G Hub software. You can have the lighting dynamically react to audio, morph according to what’s happening on-screen through sampling, or if you’re boring like me, hold to one fixed color. To be honest, I found the fancier options to be downright distracting.

Having said all that, the G560 does get plenty right. If you’re in the market for some powerful and compact speakers that will add flare to your gaming setup, then the Logitech G560 Lightsync Speakers are an excellent option. Verdict

Logitech Gaming Software, or LGS for short, allows granular control over not only the lighting, but also the audio output of the gaming speakers and other Lightsync-enabled devices. In terms of the G560 speakers, it provides the option to customise the ‘G’ button on the right speaker. By default, it’s used to control the brightness of the lighting, but you can reprogram it to be a mute button, trigger an in-game macro and more. Overall, I was unhappy with the initial volume issues, but once those were resolved, I came to seriously enjoy the G560. The bass is booming, the RGB is tasteful and there’s a decent amount of customizability through G Hub. I’m sure you could find comparable studio speakers that run circles around Logitech’s offering — drivers with much clearer sound — but what’s here interfaces well with games and looks nice while doing it.Lighting in game-specific profiles, like Portal 2, isn’t much better than the Screen Sampler tool, if perhaps are a little more tame. You can also set general lighting patterns like breathing and color cycling, as well sync these settings across other Logitech RGB accessories. Don’t have those matching accessories? Then you won’t have lighting patterns in sync across your hardware. Logitech’s G560 is amongst a new breed of ‘gaming speakers’ appearing on the market in 2018 – but what makes a 2.1 speaker setup specific to gamers? RGB lighting, of course. Like Panel 3 - Preamplication. This reduces the overall volume so you have a more even volume curve in Windows. It should still be loud enough at 100% for most users. Increase the gain to if you require louder speakers at 100% volume in Windows.

It isn’t one for purists, and if you primarily listen to music then there are better alternatives out there. However, it’s great for games as gunfire and explosions sound all the more moving thanks to the rumbling lows. If you live in a thin-walled home, though, I’ll add that these speakers will almost certainly cause issues with the neighbours. There are no lighting elements on the subwoofer unit, but on each speaker there are four bright RGB LEDs accompanied by strip LEDs within hollowed-out chamber elements. Each of these sets of lights can be uniquely illuminated.READ NEXT: Razer Nommo Chroma review: Cylindrical 2.0 PC speakers with RGB lighting Logitech G560 review: What you need to know That said, we found the lighting portion of the offering to be the most mixed in real-world applications, but nevertheless flashy and fun. You see, while the Gaming Software supports hundreds of games with custom lighting profiles, we only had one installed on our test system: Portal 2. The down-firing subwoofer is much larger at 404 x 255 x 207mm, but it should still fit nicely into the majority of setups. Besides, the incredible bass produced by the sub is more than enough to make up for the large dimensions! LGS also features an EQ with a handful of presets for different game types; Flat (default), FPS, MOBA, Drop the Bass and Cinematic Gaming. But as well as being able to select one of these presets, you are free to create your own profiles using the Advanced Equalizer.
