About this deal

Put your child’s regular swimwear over the reusable swim nappy or just use the nappy on its own. The Splash About Happy Nappy is designed to look like regular swimwear so can be worn on its own. If you are looking for something more absorbent than the Molicare Premium EP XS would be the better choice.

The MoliCare Super Plus Size Small will fit the bill, but it is a small sized adult nappy so it won't be suitable for younger children. The waist size quoted is 20-36" however, the tapes can be overlapped meaning that it will fit smaller sizes if necessary. No swim nappy can contain urine, so don’t put them on your child too soon! Urine in the pool is not a problem because it’s sterile when it leaves the body. If there are any pathogens from an infection for example, the pool chemicals kill them. To clean a soiled reusable swim nappy hand wash in cool water and leave to dry away from direct sunlight. Developmental issues and disabilities can often mean that a child is in nappies for longer than we would want. We have had a couple of customers recently that called us out of desperation seeking a bigger nappy for their child. We were able to help and I thought some parents might find this article useful.

The Most Absorbent Nappy

Out of all the Nappies listed in this thread, I would recommend the Abena Abri-Form XS2, the Molicare Premium Extra Plus XS or if you are interested in pull-ups the Molicare Mobile Normal XS. Regular nappies should not be used for swimming as they absorb too much water, making them extremely heavy, which can be dangerous for little ones.

We have covered the choices available from the supermarkets, and given you information about our MoliCare Extra size Extra Small nappy, but what if you find you need the very most absorbent nappy available? The third obvious difference is the size. The Asda and Pampers nappies are roughly the same size, the MoliCare is both longer and wider, meaning that it will comfortably fit a larger child. These numbers refer to the nappy size and not the age of the child, so choose a size similar to your child’s regular nappies. Choose a snug but comfortable fit to minimise the risk of leaks. If your child has a bowel movement then change them immediately in the baby change facilities, not at the side of the pool. Many parents choose to go straight on to the Drynites or Underjams products which are bed wetting pants for older children.Special absorbent material that doesn't swell or fall apart in water so the swim nappies won't weigh down your little swimmers. If you are interested in the pull-ups, then the Molicare Mobile XS would be the most suitable product. However they wont be as absorbent as the nappies. A Swim Nappy, whether disposible or reusable, will not hold water. This of course means they won't hold in urine, but they also won't swell and cause discomfort whilst in the water. Many first time users are not aware of this and are alarmed when urine leaks from the nappy on the way to the pool! Swim nappies should only be put on just before you get into the pool and should be changed as soon as possible after a faecal accident. There are currently no waterproof swim nappies on the market. Can you send me a sample of the XS & S please? My almost 5 year old is in age 8 clothes (130cm tall) and is petrified of the toilet.
