Re-upholstering a boat exceeds the skill level of most DIY boaters. For this kind of project, most of us need the help of a qualified marine upholstery shop. This is especially true for a project that encompasses the total replacement of the upholstery, a task that includes the engineering and fabrication of the upholstery framework, as well as design and crafting of the fabric coverings. Now, this is some sort of work saver thing above the hob and I'm not overly keen. But at the moment, I do appreciate the space. My first impression was the kitchen seemed quite small. Although since, we've used it quite a few times. Even cooked a roast dinner. However, always choose a synthetic fabric, heavy-duty nylon thread, and plastic zippers. Cotton will eventually rot and metal zippers will rust. You can get away with not using marine upholstery but natural fibers are a big no-no! As a literal halfway house, you can also get a semi-traditional (semi-trad) stern that has a couple of wooden benches in an area directly in front of the steering position. Although these days, most people seem to like going for the more open design of the cruiser stern.
