About this deal

The Series 9 comes with a power2go charging case that allows the iO to be charged inside whereas the Series 8 comes with a standard travel case. I want to buy either the iO6 or iO9, to help make sure I’m sufficiently cleaning all surfaces of my teeth, so hopefully I can learn to do a better job. I don’t mind if sometimes I have to clean longer because the app doesn’t keep up. The iO9 is currently nearly 2.5x the price of the iO6 so I’m trying to figure out if it is worth the premium. Brush like a Pro. The Oral-B iO Series 5 Electric Toothbrush combines powerful, but gentle micro-vibrations with Oral-B’s dentist-inspired round brush head and advanced iO Technology that delivers 100% cleaner teeth and healthier gums in just 1 week versus a regular manual toothbrush. Plus, state-of-the-art features including A.I. position detection to recognize your brushing style and guide you to better brushing in real-time. I’ve yet to find anyone who uses them all or any real justification for having so many. The reality is the cleaning results between each are very similar. The iO5 comes with a travel case and a refill holder that holds and protects 2 brush heads. The iO4 does not come with this.

It offers a blend of features and functions that benefit us as users at a price that most will find affordable. SMART PRESSURE SENSOR signals red, white or green to alert you whether you’re brushing too hard, too softly or with just the right amount of pressureAll things considered, the differences between each model in the iO Series range are relatively subtle. The Oral-B Genius X doesn't have the advanced frictionless magnetic motor of the iO Series 9, which means it's a little noisier. However, it's still an excellent electric toothbrush. It is important to be flossing (cleaning between the teeth). We generally recommend flossing before brushing, but ultimately flossing at any time is better than not at all.

If lit red, the motor will slow the bristle movements to further protect the teeth until such time the pressure is relieved. In a relatively short period of time, you will learn what the correct force you need to use. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Oral-B-Smart-2200-Charcoal-Rechargeable-Electric-Toothbrush-White-1-Ct/940809939 Reply In our tests, it gave a good, thorough clean on the everyday setting, though it's pretty vigorous, so we'd recommend trying out the sensitive mode first to see how you find it; you might not need to try the more intense settings. The brush's well-designed charging case is another highlight worth mentioning and offers a choice of charging options to keep your brush powered up on the move. Decades of research, testing and manufacturing experience have gone into achieving the brushing results that the iO5 delivers. They are really good, I have no complaints. The motor in the Smart 3000 is also marginally more powerful. It offers up to 9,900 oscillations and 45,000 pulsations compared to the 8,800 and 40,000 of the Pro 3000. Models that connect via Bluetooth to an app will report the active mode within the on-screen timer. The 3, 4, 5 and 6 all come with a standard Oral-B charger. White in colour, it has a protuberance on the top that fits into the base of the brush handle. Not having personally handled it I am unable to give a detailed comparison to the Oral-B Pro 1000. It is very similar to this model though too. The main difference being the additional cleaning modes. Where the 1000 has just 1, this actually has 4 modes. There is potentially more e-waste generated as a result of the Bluetooth connectivity, but it’s not as bad as the handles in the range that have displays built in.

iO specific heads are required for the iO5. Compared to brush heads you might be familiar with from Oral-B, they are marginally deeper. You’re looking at about a 10 percent difference. It is possible Roger, but I am afraid we don’t have one to hand to test & confirm. I suspect it is highly likely. Reply Whilst each has its place within the market, it is the Pro Series that is most logical option for the majority. Thanks for the comment and I am so pleased to read that the smart toothbrush that is the Oral-B iO6 is working for you. This is fantastic. The iO5 has a brush head replacement reminder light in the cleaning mode button. The iO6 has this reminder on the display.
